Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I turned 33 today. With growing a tiny little bit older, it helps
me continue the process of understanding what's important and
what's not. What is important to me includes: compassion,
intelligence, love of nature and all animals, and a passion for
moving towards goals, of various kinds. These are the things that
make me tick and attributes I look for in others (be they friends
or something more). I'm not looking to be taken care of, but am
looking to be treated with respect and kindness. I'm intelligent,
highly driven, and really try to be a good person. Let me know if
that interests you at all...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work building capacity of public health professionals in
emergency response overseas. In a former life I managed response to
emergencies for a popular ngo. I'm learning to enjoy reading again
after being in school full time, spending time with my dog and cat,
gardening, and focusing on my health.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people feel heard
Loving all of the creatures on this planet
Getting the job done
Talking to my pets in weird baby voices (if pressed will deny I do

I think a huge list here has been counter productive. I read a lot
(mostly for work, but I enjoy a silly novel once in a while and
magazines are fun). I love all types of music and have a special
passion for anything with a good beat that makes me want to dance.
I love food, but have my quirks (booooooo bell peppers) and try to
cook at home quit a lot (for health and because I love to cook). I
probably watch too much tv and pay too much attention to the
weather (mostly because I love to garden and need to know when it
So, this sort of summarizes my basic interests which are varied.
I'd love to talk to you more about them and about yours!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My nephews, not things but so very important to me
2. My dog Simon and my cat Maafi
3. My copy of Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass
5. Some type of fresh fruit
6. Comfortable flip flops
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How precious life is, how to best take care of my cat (he's sick
right now), and some fun things to do around Atlanta now that I'm
working full time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Time for honesty... I'm usually watching the show on tv "What Would
You do?" It's damn good television and good people doing good
things make me cry. So, I love it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I go to Dragon*Con every year. I usually volunteer in table top

You want to go for a hike, a picnic, or some other activity so we
can have some FUN! You like animals of all sorts and would be
rather accommodating for my dog and cat. Also, it would be GREAT if
you lived ITP and even better if in Atlanta. Oh, and if you have a
beard that would be great. I kind of have a thing for glasses and
beards. A little weird probably... :)
