My self-summary
I'm all about diversity and change, but not on a daily basis. I can
stand routine, but only for a while, and can also stand day-to-day
change, but only for a while, too. What I need really is a good
balancing of both. Need freedom, but with a little constraining.
Action and relaxation. You get the idea.
Also, I can't stand jealousy.
Music is an
important part of my life. It affects my moods a lot. I hope I'll
be able to make a living out of it, too.
Humorous, sometimes at the wrong time though. I have a tendency to
say inappropriate things at time, too, but can get along easily
with almost anybody, nonetheless.
I love to learn about a lot of things and I guess I'm a bit of a
geek too.
Technology and computers are fascinating, but I'm not a big fan of
gadgets and knick-knacks.
I love
cooking,
and
good
food.
I'd love one day to be good at making things with my two hands,
like, I don't know... knitting, painting or making furnitures,
etc... but last time I tried my hand at making furniture, it came
out goofy and unusable. I really have two left hands and no basic
notions when it come to that stuff yet.
Here I am, going on and on again. Just message me if you want to
know something else about me. A human is too complex to just make a
summary of.
OkCupid: Now in French!
Ma langue maternelle est le français, les amis.
J'ai juste pas le goût de tout traduire.
Hésitez pas à m'envoyer un message, des fois que vous me trouvez un
air sympathique.
OkCupid: Now in Japanese!
たぶん、来年日本に帰ります。
今、日本語を勉強しています、でも、あまり話せません。。。
僕にお手伝いをくれませんか。
What I'm doing with my life
Studying (Music - Writing Techniques at University of Montreal),
partying, hangin', composing music (Or at least, trying to)
Also learning the Japanese language. So if any of you is great at
Japanese and is willing to help out, please, do. Even if it's just
talking, I need to keep practising. I want to be better when I'll
go back there.
I'm really good at
Nothing. I'm a jack-of-all trade : a bit good in lots of thing,
really good in nothing. Sorry, modern-society-standards!
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
Check the pictures and figure this one out for yourself.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books : Les lettres à Mademoiselle Brochu, Les aventures de Sivis
Pacem et de Para Bellum, The World According to Garp, Illuminatus!
Trilogy... lots more.
Music : I love many, many things. Rock (Metal, classic, etc), Jazz
(be-bop, hard bop, swing, some acid...), Classical (Romanticism,
impressionism, classicism...), blues, funk, motown, ska...
I'm a sucker for Tom Waits. He's the man. (And I think Jersey Girl
is one of, if not the best love song ever)
I love music and talking about it. So don't hesitate, either if
it's to talk about how groovy is Red Hot Chili Peppers or to
discuss the non-linearity found in trance music.
Movies : Dreams (Kurosawa), The Nightmare before Christmas, Lost in
Translation, The shawshank redemption, Big Fish, The life Aquatic,
Spaceballs, Army of Darkness, Fight Club, Standing in the Shadow of
Motown, Requiem for a Dream, Wayne's World (The French-Canadian
translation is actually funnier!), lots more... I like deep movies
at time, nutty comedies at other, I can enjoy blockbusters too. I
love good documentaries. I'm in love with animation movies and
series. Well, I like diversity.
Food : Almost anything. I'm fond of Japanese food (hummm Yakisoba!
Okonomiyaki! (Hiroshima style is my favorite) etc...). I love pasta
and most Italian food. Indian too. Mexican, Greek, Thai, Chinese,
French, American, Portugese... Here again, I love diversity, and
love to discover new stuff. Though I can be picky when it comes to
three things : Seafoods (I love fish, but the rest depends of how
it's cooked), Mushrooms (I don't like them in general, but if they
aren't too prominent it's okay) and strong fermented food (like
Surstromming, etc... though, Natto ain't half-bad! But I will eat
this kind of food if I'm in the right mindset.)
The six things I could never do without
-
Music
-
Women
-
Friends
-
Laughter
-
Good food. And
tea. Yummy.
-
Human
contact and physical contact.
A close seventh would be
Saturday morning
cartoons. And late night cartoons.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately, I've been thinking of what I should do with my sorry ass
when I'll have graduated. I'm currently stuck with the ideas of
either going to Japan to work/visit for a year, doing a Master on
music and new media or building up a neat portfolio to send out to
a few companies to work as a composer or arranger... or a mix of
two out of three. Life is full of choices, and choices are hard.
On a typical Friday night I am
Typical and Friday night can't be used in the same phrase.
Studying, composing, partying, going to a show, watching a movie,
watching tv, listening to music, playing
video games, relaxing, hanging in
front of my computer, hanging with my roomates, procrastinating,
etc... I wish I could go parachute, dive, build fort, etc, but I'm
only a poor university student with no time for that. Yet. Eh!
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
"If there is one thing you can say about mankind, there's nothing
kind about men"
You should message me if
Just do it if you want to. I'm not your mom. But do consider what
she would say in that situation. (Which I imagine would be :
"ooohhh that's a nice boy. You should at least say hello to him. If
you don't like him, you could always introduce him to me!" *wink
wink*)
