I'm a science student, huge nerd, currently stuck in a small north Texas town. Been single a year now and finally feel like I've figured out enough about myself to bring somebody special in again.

I'm finishing up my last year at community college. Next semester I plan to transfer my schooling and my person down to Denton to attend UNT for a bachelors in Biology. After that, not so sure. I would like to attend grad school and that is a whole world of possibility.

Multiple choice tests, difusing tense situations with a witty non-sequitir, fixing "al dente" (bachelor chow) meals, poking broken electronics until they either work again or fail catastrophically

Initial impression: That guy doesn't talk much.
After a few minutes: That guy says weird things and I'm not sure if he's serious.
After a few hours you either despise me or find me hilarious.

Books: Douglas Adams, JRR Tolkein, Joseph Heller, Kurt Vonnegut, William Faulkner, Robert Wright, Isaac Asimov

Music: Cake, Queens of the Stone Age, Rise Against, Chiodos, Arcade Fire, Placebo, Radiohead, Postal Service, I should stop listing bands.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, anything by Nolan or Tarantino, sci-fi and horror classics, like Blade Runner and The Thing. I cry during Pixar movies and that's okay

Shows: Mythbusters, Doctor Who, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Futurama, Arrested Development, Adventure Time (it's amazing and I'm not ashamed of this)

I can not whistle. I've played several wind instruments, some quite obscure. Still can't whistle.
