My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If I had to describe myself it would be as a Heinz 57 of the highest caliber in both my heritage and personality traits.

I want to travel the world due in no small part for the ability to meet new people and try and understand what makes humanity tick. I have set the goal of traveling to all 7 continents (Yes, including Antarctica). I have currently lived in Canada, visited Thailand and visited Europe putting me at 3/7. I am making plans for a trip to south america in June.

I also really enjoy social dancing. I do Salsa, Blues, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and a bit of Ballroom. I think the part that I really enjoy is the social interaction you get to have with the other dancers. It is amazing how different some of the communities are. Lindy Hoppers/Blues dancers some of the nicest. It is awesome to go to random dance venues you have never heard of and have a great night dancing and relaxing with friends. If anyone does Modern, Ballet or Hip-Hop I would love to learn.

Despite bucking some Engineering stereotypes I do love a good Geek out session. I love playing nerdy games with friends. I started a group that meets every Sunday to get together and play games like Magic: The Gathering, We Didn't Play Test This, Cards Against Humanity, and Risk: Legacy. It is pretty hard to top for a Sunday night.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just purchased my first home and am working an amazing engineering job. The job is going really well and I have been blessed with an amazing boss and incredible opportunities that have panned out. I also have decided it was time to level up my grapple skill IRL and have started taking Brazilian Ju Jitsu courses. I have always wanted to learn a martial and it being practically across the street is pretty awesome.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love ballroom dancing, lindy hop, and swing dancing, which I've been doing for the past five years or so. My dance partner and I have been training for a ballroom competition in November. Competitive ballroom dancing is an eternal battle of one step forward, two steps back. Once you find a good partner and it works, one of you will inevitably get a new job, move, or have some sort of crisis. By the time December rolls around, we should be ready to compete at the Open Amateur Novice/Pre-Novice level.

Oh, and swimming is one of my talents. I played Water Polo for 5 years and would describe myself as a water dog. I love swimming and being in the water. LOVE IT. I want to get SUCBA certified. Once I do, I will probably try and make it out to Hawaii or try to find some great dives near LA.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The biggest thing that notice about is well...my biggest thing, which is my hair.
During college it had a tendency to become impressively large and has been compared to:
1) A Super-Sayan
2) A Werewolf
3) A Large Shrub

That being said I have managed to rein the beast in but when works gets hectic it has a tendency to grow quite large.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite books tend to be Science Fiction:
Enders Game and Dune are two that come to mind. I also just finished Collapse by Jared Diamond. A really great read really information dense but some insightful information. I recently finished Neuromancer and have been waiting for Cloud Atlas to be returned at my local library.

Music is a grab bag. It could be anything from Electronic to Sinatra. There is a time and a place for everything. Just went and saw Florance and the Machine last weekend.

Movies. I am a huge nerd and LOVE the original Trilogy of Star Wars. Other than that I can get entertainment out of movies but they are not really my thing.

Food. I will try almost anything and like most things. I love great food and really want to find more.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future and big ideas. I am a bit of a dream but also a pragmatist (A contradiction I know). I wonder about the path that humanity will wander down in the next few generations. I wonder what diseases will be cured by the time I am "old". Personally, I hope it goes Alzheimer, Cancer and Aging, in that order.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Going out with a group of friends to go dancing. If you know where to look there is dancing of some kind in the greater LA area. I always try to find it. If I don't know of any I call some friends to find out.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you want to be able to go out and have fun. Would love to travel occasionally and trying new activities. If you would enjoy a night playing board games, relaxing and pontificating on the subject of the evening. While at the same time being able to enjoy a night on the town.
