Over the course of my engineering chemistry degree, I learned many useful things. And also how morally wrong it would feel to go into the industry most graduates end up in when it's full of lies and deceit. I'm planning to repurpose my degree in a post-degree program in environmental management and assessment. Maybe become an environmental engineer or a consultant. I'm still not sure but the goal is to be able to look back on my life in thirty years and be proud of what I've done.
I always feel like I'm being judged when I tell someone who enjoys spending time outdoors that I enjoy video games. Or someone who goes out to the bars often that I just like to snuggle up at home with a good book. Or vice versa. I like all these things. I dont like one more than the other, and I don't believe any of these are better then the other or that there's anything wrong with only liking some of these things. But for myself, I like balance.
Apart from that, I have a passion for music, particularly in the classical and ambient genres. If you have an eclectic taste in music, we should go on a music discovery journey together.
I guess right now I'm just trying to finish my degree and see where it goes from here. Although one thing I do know, is that I'm going to try to enjoy the ride.
