My self-summary
Originally from L.A. Attended school in the Bay Area and tried out life in San Francisco, now I'm back in L.A. to see where my life and career take me, most likely back to SF. I play life by ear, and try to be spontaneous with a go-with-the-flow attitude towards life (i.e the moving), but I'm definitely not a push over. I love to laugh and joke around; my sarcasm is lethal, but never mean-spirited.

I can be shy, but once I warm up to people I talk, joke, laugh and curse like a sailor sometimes all at once. I like to do the best and be the best, but I also like to be smart about it. If there is an easy way to achieve a goal and make it look amazing I'm there. Maybe it's a culinary thing "Work smarter, not harder".

I enjoy watching and playing sports. Beer, homemade spinach and artichoke dip and a football game on Sunday afternoon is heaven on earth.

I can appreciate the sunshine and fresh dew on flowers. I love windy days when it's just cold enough to need a cardigan.
I wear cardigans.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently taking classes to prepare for grad school and working to pay off current student loans. I work as a Baker at a vegan restaurant in LA. I'm not vegan, but I am enjoying the challenge of not working with traditional ingredients.
I’m really good at
Baking! duh!, but I can cook also. However I don't enjoy it as much as whipping up a pie or cinnamon rolls.

Not being a food-snob! Sometimes a bacon-wrapped hot dog is all you need, other times a slow poached salmon is called for, either way food is food and delicious!

I'm fairly decent at grammar. Now now, I'm pretty sure you or someone else has gone through my profile with a fine toothed grammar comb and you're ready to rip me a new one. I'm not the editor of the NY Times, I just like complete, coherent sentences and the over use of parentheses, semi-colons and ellipses...

I'm great at compromising. I hate the win-lose situation. If there is a way to meet in the middle on anything, I'll make it happen. This usually doesn't happen as I try to compromise with people that really just want their way or the highway, but whenever I can find a neutral solution I make it work. This trait also makes me great at bargaining at flea markets :)
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. If you ever see it in person, you'll know. And yes, I have all my teeth.

Lately people have assumed I'm older than I actually am. I have a very mature demeanor which doesn't mean I don't joke around and have fun, most of the time I do. I hang around a mature, diverse crowd and like to do more than just get shit faced at the bar every weekend.

My freakishly soft skin. Friends usually feel the odd need to touch my arms, and once they do they don't stop touching. My arms are constantly molested. It's OK, they are seeking therapy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, Grimm Fairy Tales, Kindred, Passing, Fahrenheit 451, Apex Hides the Hurt, She's Come Undone, Songs yet Sung, 101 Most Influential People that Never Lived, Angry Black White Boy, How Baking Works, Knead.

Movies: Hook, Training Day, The Bourne Series, Fear, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Crooklyn, A League of Their Own, Tarantino films. I guess the only movies I would not go out to see are chick flicks and horror movies. Yes, horror movies give me nightmares. Oh and absolutely anything with Pam Grier.

Shows: Mad Men, Parenthood, Real Time with Bill Maher, Orange is the New Black, Amazing Race, Survivor, Mythbusters, Good Eats, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Freaks and Geeks!

Music. John Mayer, James Morrison, Billie Holiday, Alicia Keys, Robin Thicke, Common, Joss Stone, La Roux, Prince, RHCP, Jason Alden (YES, I listen to country music!), Blake Shelton, Michael Buble, Santana, Drake, Gorillaz, Maxwell...and I LOVE Adele!

Food. I can't say I have a favorite. If it smells great, doesn't contain bananas (I'm not allergic, it's just a texture thing) then I'll try it.
The six things I could never do without
San Francisco
farmer's markets
eggs
a job
coffee
(insert 6th item here)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Exactly how many licks does it take to get to the toosie roll center of a toosie pop?
What am I going to make for dinner?

BREAKFAST FOR DINNER!
How long has it been since I went to/had time to go to a Dodgers/Niners/A's/Raiders/Giants game...?

On a more serious note, I think a lot about the future. What I want to do next with my life, how can I make an impact on the world or on a smaller scale or how I can make someone's day better.

What if I just didn't show up for work and drove across the country just because?
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm off work, I might be at home catching up on awesomely bad reality shows; out for dinner or drinks, chatting and playing board games at home with friends. I'm not big on clubs, I will go once in a blue moon for friend's birthday parties, but a good sports bar can easily gain my attention.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I want to become a regular at Hamburger Mary's trivia nights and Drag Queen Bingo!

I was addicted to playing World of Warcraft for a year.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi girls
  • Ages 24–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
anything you read peaked your interest and you want to find out more or you want to test out my sarcasm.

You want to be the "Online Dating" couple on The Amazing Race with me! :)

You can actually send a message that says more than "Hello, how are you?" I'm not being mean about it, just what do you expect in reply besides "I'm fine/OK/good?". Just sayin'...

You made it to the end of this long profile.
