My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've lived on both coasts. I've worked on a fishing boat in Alaska. I've driven across the country three times. I guess you could say that I've seen almost all of the United States but not enough of the rest of the world...I'd like to fix that as soon as possible. In the meantime, I want to meet new people who would are into exploring this city with me.

Life is funny. The last few months have seen some major changes for me. I guess I was looking for a new adventure...Army lawyer seemed to fit the bill, so here I am...and wouldn't you know it, I got stationed in Seoul right out of the gate! I know next to nothing about my new home and would love to meet some new people to help me find my way around this incredible city.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Embracing all that life throws at me - the good, the bad, the ugly. I like to stay active and explore the outdoors as much as possible, but I also enjoy hanging out with friends and going out on the town. I am coming from DC where you had no choice but to become an urban explorer. I'd like to pursue that again here in Seoul.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Noraebang, coming up with pretty decent meals with sparsely populated spice racks, appropriate usage of there/their/they're, tying my shoes, and first impressions. I think.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Definitely fashion sense. Followed immediately by my chiseled physique.

I'm kidding, I have no idea. I've been told sense of humor, but how should I know - I don't recall ever meeting me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

No way I can get into all of these and do my favorites any justice...but here goes (in no particular order):

Books. A few of the most recent: A Devil in the White City, W.B. Yeats - Selected Poems, Killer Angels, Shipping News, War. I'm also making my way through the Dragon Tattoo series, which I really enjoy so far.

Movies. High Fidelity, Scent of a Woman, American History X, The Shawshank Redemption, PCU, SLC Punk, Trainspotting, Garden State, anything by Wes Anderson, Reservoir Dogs, Inglorious Basterds, City of God, Boondock Saints, The Big Lebowski, Band of Brothers. I watch a lot of movies and love most genres. If anyone has any suggestions for some independent, hole-in-the-wall, art house theaters around here, I would be very interested.

Music. The first CD I ever bought with my own money was Better than Ezra - Deluxe. My father, an incredible musician and total hippie at heart, was horrified at my selection. So, the next day he purchased for me Led Zeppelin - I, Black Sabbath - Paranoid, and James Gang - #49.

Needless to say, I have never looked back...sincerest apologies to Ezra.

Lately...Pogues, Johnny Cash, and Black Star. Also Stones, Iggy, Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine, Death Cab, Postal Service, Primus, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, Interpol, The Distillers, Neko Case, Stray Cats, the RHH, Dropkick Murphys, Rilo Kiley, Atmosphere, The Von Bondies, Danger Mouse, Jimi, Janis, the Who, Velvet Underground, Dylan, Elton John, Mumford & Sons, Florence + The Machine, and the Wailin Jennys. I love going to see shows, finding new artists, and playing music with friends.

Food. Anything and everything. Pho, Japanese, Indian, Thai, street tacos, etc. Also, I've been meaning to try Ethiopian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) some sort of music player;
2) sketch pad/pen;
3) family;
4) SmarTrip card;
5) coffee;
6) something to read...

7) breaking the rules
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All the crazy life events that lead me here...and where the adventure will take me next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Not sure...what do people do in Seoul?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I thought I had mono once for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored.

(If you know what this is from, you are automatically awesome)

You want to know more and have a great sense of humor. If you sing and/or play an instrument, we're well on our way....though I've always been a sucker for glasses and tattoos. I blame the west coast roots.
