I am honest, wild, and fun.

My Self-Summary

Where to begin? My name is Layne, I like to think of myself as a pretty unique individual, I tend to be a deep thinker, and to think outside of the box. I love having fun, which usually means having good times with good people (drinking a tall newcastle draft with a shot of Jameson, at a punk rock show with some other punk ass holes), whether it be just hanging out, going to a baseball game (ahem, RED SOX game that is.. yes I'm a Boston native, Yankees need not apply), to the beach, to a concert (like I said, punk rock, not any of that shit on the radio today), to the movies, whatever might strike my fancy. I also love riding motorcycles normally but at the moment I dont own one. I'd like to get a new one in the next couple of years. I also am a big fan of tattoos but... I'm pretty serious about them being unique and often having meaning to them... I hate seing a person with a bunch of lame tattoos, or a chick with a tramp stamp of a butterfly, flowers, or something else generic.

I'm not necessarily looking for a relationship right now; I've got plenty on my plate, but I always love meeting new people, and someday I hope to get back to finding someone who I love spending time with, and can stand to deal with on a daily basis, hah.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently I work in the service industry, though I am in school working towards becoming a Dental Assistant (which I'll be finished with in the Spring) followed by becoming a Dental Hygienist.

I’m really good at

I suppose a lot of random things... singing, HR, drawing, psychology, writing, driving, riding (bikes), reading people, lol... video games. I always excelled at things that I put my mind to... once upon a time I played rugby (my favorite sport in the world)... I'd love to find the time to play again.

The first things people usually notice about me

My outgoing personality, I'd guess... Physically I suppose my eyes are the most attention grabbing feature. I've been told something people can tell about me without knowing me very well is that I'm very "real"... Meaning, what you see is what you get, I dont put on a fake facade for people.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Wow, um, this is tough... I love lots of books, movies, and music... I am very selective about music and movies though... I hate that today, so many movies have at LEAST one sequel, when the first one usually wasn't worth watching to begin with...

Music... I hate that corporate machine that is major record labels, and how they have effectively destroyed mainstream music. Chances are... if something's played on the radio, I dont know anything about it... Unless it's classic rock, those are the only radio stations I ever listen to (and, I am very hardcore about that... I have a deep hatred for mainstream music, lol... it IS one of my passions. I just dont see mainstream music out there that has any talent behind it.) I love punk rock (even the bad punk rock, punk is punk... it's fast and fun and lifts my spirits- It's not necessarily always the most talent driven stuff... and generally not made in order to make the $$$.) I could make a list a thousand bands long to begin naming some of the bands that I love, but I'll try to keep it short:
The Independents, NOFX, Bouncing Souls, Rancid, The Queers, The Ramones, The Doors, Hendrix, The Pogues, Street Dogs, Voo Doo Glowskulls, Dead Kennedys, Flogging Molly, Antiflag, Bad Religion, The Clash, Daft Punk, Casualties, Rocket 88, The Bones, Buzzcocks, Strung Out, Jefferson Airplane (and of course, Jefferson Starship), All, New Bomb Turks, Sublime, Less than Jake, Daft Punk, Bad Brains, The Briggs, Whole Wheat Bread, World Inferno Friendship Society, Straightfaced, Snuff, Screeching Weasel, Pennywise, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Good Riddance, The Misfits, H2O, Agnostic Front, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Bones, the River City Rebels, 311, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Simon and Garfunkel, Tenacious D, Bob Marley, Country Slashers, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Social Distortion, The Eyeliners, Tilt, the Supervillains, Black Flag, Lagwagon, Bracket, Ten Foot Pole, Gas Huffers, Sex Pistols, I Against I, No Use for a Name, Screw 32, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Iron Maiden, Guns and Roses, Billy Idol, AC DC, MSI, Heart, Otep, Alice Cooper, Dethklok, Aerosmith(old), Pat Benatar, Nirvana, Twisted Sister, STP, Quiet Riot, Dragonforce, Danzig, Black Sabbath, The Mama's and the Papas, Motley Crue, Megadeth, The Nuuuuge!, Led Zeppelin, Sex Pistols, Aerosmith(old), The Who- I'll stop there. The six things I could never do without

Family.
Friends.
Entertainment.
Sunshine.
My Mind.
Soap.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

It changes, depends on what's going on in my life... Lately it's.. how am I going to pull off raising a newborn, juggling school and work...?
Sometimes I just like to daydream...
Sometimes I like to think about mind bending quantum physics.

On a typical Friday night I am

LoL These days? Grocery shopping as I recently observed... It used to be a decent night to go out with friends, but... things change. I still love to slam Irish Car Bombs on a Friday if I'm available.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've been screwed over, haven't we all...? But I'm still willing to pick myself back up, dust myself off, and move on. Sometimes life can be discouraging, but it's the weak who end up standing still rather than moving forward.

You should message me if

you still want to after reading about me? Oh, and if you actually DID read about me, and didn't just look at my pictures. Intelligent conversation is the name of the game.
