My self-summary
I'm at a time and place in my life where I'm content with who and where I am. I can be alone without being lonely, but there are many things I'd still like to experience and it would be wonderful to find a like-minded companion with whom to share.
What I’m doing with my life
Confucius said "Choose a job that you love and you'll never work a day in your life." I LOVE not working every day.

I work as a Project Coordinator for a Fortune 500 company - doing a little of this and a little of that. My job is never boring and I love the challenge. It may find me in Maryland tomorrow, the Lehigh Valley next week. Most of what I do is take complex software platforms and apply them to real-world applications to build new process infrastructure. But that's what I DO, not who I AM.
I’m really good at
I'm a fiercely loyal friend and an excellent listener. I can make a stranger feel at ease within minutes and I draw on my vast life experience to make people feel better about their problems.

Oh, and I make excellent lasagna and meatballs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I tend to be introspective, which is often mistaken for shyness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
OK, confession time. I'm a horror movie junkie. I've seen most all of them - several times, and look forward to every new release. What? That's not a girlie answer? I'm far from the girlie-movie type.

I'll never miss an episode of The Walking Dead, Supernatural or American Horror Story. I'm discouraged by people who can't see the underlying stories of the human condition that are presented in a "horror" medium. What REALLY scares me is the national news - rising inflation, intolerance and a gallon of gas costing more than a gallon of milk?? FRIGHTENING!!!
The six things I could never do without
The way one chooses to answer this question is more telling than the actual six responses provided.

Taken literally, I answer:
Air, Food, Water, Clothing, Shelter, Warmth

Taken as a statement of those things which are most important in my life, I answer:
Compassion, Positive Attitude, Love, Curiosity, Joy, Gratitude

Taken as a question of decadence , I answer:
Books, Wine, Iced Chai Lattes, Full Body Massages, Bubble Baths, Chocolate

And finally, taken as a statement that defines who I am, I answer:
My watch – so that I can appreciate stolen moments of happiness amid a crazy day.
My strong legs – which have carried me all of my life, through good times and bad.
My forgiving heart - which prompts me to continue forward when life has been hard.
My four-legged friends - who remind me that love is unconditional.
My two-legged friends - who remind me to laugh at the absurd.
My family - who consistently allow me to strive forward while providing a safe, soft place to land.

(NOTE: If you’ve listed “sex” in this section of your profile, you get one point for honesty, but I’m afraid you lose two points for stating the obvious. I believe it goes without saying that in the right relationship, an intimate sexual component is vital. However, you’re here looking for that special someone. Sell me on what you bring to the table. Telling me that you’re a man who enjoys sex is like telling me the sky is blue. There’s a time and place for everything. The initial contact is not the place.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why prospective dates don't take a few extra minutes to spell check their profile responses or messages? It's my first impression of you as a potential date, so why cut corners?

Why do men say they're seeking someone "open-minded" when they are really looking for someone slutty?

I know He's out there - how much longer must I wait to meet him?
On a typical Friday night I am
Unwinding from the week and looking forward to two days off.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Maybe I'll let you know after our first successful date.
You should message me if
You should message me if

1) You're ready to indulge in witty conversation.
2) You're looking for an adult relationship.
3) Your baggage is small enough to fit into a carry-on.
4) You understand that any relationship, romantic or otherwise, depends on mutual respect and honesty.
5) You are a man content within himself, and not looking for someone to "complete" him. Jerry McGuire was a movie, not a philosophy.

DON'T message me if you are looking for casual sex.
