I got a BA in anthropology because I like learning about people. Mostly I like stories. History, personal, make-believe, musical, art--I like narrative in many forms. I especially love fairy tales and mythology. All sorts are great. I play RPGs partly for the story. I like songs better when I can weave a story around them. I read fanfic, write fairy tale retellings, and watch all sorts of movies and TV shows because I'm interested in the world-building or characters or plot--it's all fairly equally interesting.
I'm a quiet person and I tend to be a homebody--I'd like to get out more but I need someone to give me some motivation--mostly through going out to places and events with me. I am overweight and do a lot of sitting--on couches, in front of the computer etc, but I also enjoy hiking and getting outside. I'd like to get involved with a walking book club--it sounds like fun and good-for-you.
I had an assignment in Teaching Social Studies called a Where I'm From poem. Thought I'd share.I am from el otro lado,
