My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I have an uncanny ability to find bold and passionate people wherever I go. I have lived and worked over a third of my life abroad, and I feel as comfortable outside the US as in it. I am fiercely independent, but love to be competently directed by those with more experience and/or better ideas than me. I am interested in pop culture in that it gives an anthropological window into the current cultural psyche of a place. I have an arts degree, and I am a social entrepreneur. In my spare time I perform in a comedy burlesque troupe with a group of friends. I garden, have a daily yoga practice, and drink whiskey. I also host themed dinner parties/events (like a Singles Supper you might be interested in). Check out my profile at

You are a man. You know how to take charge, and love it when I take charge too. You have a sharp wit and an enormous heart. You smile because you know the world is painfully beautiful. You have big ideas and are working to make them realities. You get shit done. You make things. You are sophisticated: you know how to navigate different countries, languages, cultures, situations, power supplies... The world does not intimidate you, but excites you. You are positive and irreverent. You are sensual, affectionate, passionate. You have style. You are kind. You are a conversationalist. You appreciate quality over quantity. You make me laugh in Trader Joe's, and everywhere else.

I am looking for someone to build a life with, someone who is inspired by what it means to be more than the sum of parts. Together we are fearless and unique: we create, inspire, organize, explore. I see a long, narrow, wooden table, outside in the sun, surrounded by our boisterous friends...we are all feasting on food we have prepared ourselves. We are drinking. There is music. There is laughter.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Building floating burlesque stages, trying to figure out how i can powder coat my rusting utility cart for cheap, wondering if Maria Conchita Alonzo (the dove that has built a nest above my front door) is going to shit all over the porch in the coming months.
And also: figuring out what I'm doing with this amazing golden time, this awesome spirit in this, well, attractive countenance, and how to get my DNA into the whirling mosh-pit of humanity's next gene pool.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

For someone of my diminutive stature, I eat a lot. Possibly it is my obsession with fresh/non-processed foods that keeps that pounds at bay... I grow arugula and kale on my back porch, but I will just as soon eat wild boar and wash it down with a glass of fine port.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

my lovely, wacky friends (which makes 7, I know...)
oh, and dinner parties
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My next project, which usually involves making something, performing something and/or organizing something. Basically, how can I do all of this AND all of that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I have been known to shake it on the dance floor on Fridays. In fact, I was once called "black man's dynamite" by an admirer watching my moves...
