There are many ways one can describe oneself. On the surface I am seen as the calm one, the artist, the healer, and the lover. No two people seem to agree when trying to describe me, though those I chose to let in close realize I am all of these things, as we all tend to be to some degree. We are all the good and the bad, just the levels of each tend to vary with each soul.

If you want to know my story, I'm sorry that this will only be abridged:

My name is Zeke. I was Born in NYC, lived on the outskirts in Putnam Valley. The only son of a painter mother and writer father, I grew up enriched in the arts. Around the age of 3 I moved to Los Angeles. This might be a red flag for those with experience in psychology, but there is a long period beginning when I started elementary school, stretching to fifth grade in which I do not remember. I only know of sickening stories told by friends and family of what went on whilst at school of teachers and classmates. I bounced around schools as a young teenager, traveled the world, and went on many adventures. At the Age of 12 I delivered Lamb in Australia. At 13 I was pounced by an adolescent Lioness in South Africa. Around these years I began to come into my own creativity. I picked up various instruments, one after the other, but fell in love with the guitar. After a few years I joined a punk band and played some venues around LA including Top Fuel and The Whiskey. Though I enjoyed my time with the band, punk music didn't allow much versatility. Around this time I entered the working world. I also then had dreams of being a chef, so I strapped on my apron, sharpened my knives, and started work at Tangier Restaurant in Hollywood. After Interning at Tangier I found a job running a Deli in Santa Monica, followed by a Prep Chef position at a California/Japanese fusion restaurant in Woodland Hills. Through working in food service I realized that cooking was more of a hobby of mine and not something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. From there the obvious choice, of course, was to go into Auto Mechanics. Seriously though, I have always had a weakness for vintage cars. I began work restoring vintage cars, working on engines and helping run the business. I eventually became the manager of the entire corporation, and lead mechanic under the CEO, as well as graphic designer. I was a busy bee.

I am a Relief Counselor for a mental health foundation based in the Bay Area. I am also going to school in Napa, majoring in Psychology and Music. My dream is to be a psychologist, specializing in youth counseling and social work.

Art and Music are also very important to me and I try to incorporate them into my daily life. I love writing music and playing with my band, and am always looking for new talent to collaborate with.

I think about all sorts of things really, from how I can better myself as a person, all the way to what new dish can I create. I have a creative mind, though at the moment I am mostly trying to bring some calm to the whirl of thoughts. Meditation and relaxation are my friends. :)

- I like to pretend I'm not as geeky as I am.

- I actually like shopping, especially for cool boots, pants, and other awesome clothes.
