My self-summary Propose an edit
Here's an anecdote: One night a gentleman invited me to join him in
a night of no strings attached sex. I told him I was not interested
in that. In response he called me a young idealist and told me to
check back with him in a couple years.
I suppose what he said was true. I am a young idealist. I think
people are generally good, love exists, and magic is real.
I probably took this guy more seriously than I should have, but to
be honest, the thought of becoming so jaded absolutely scares me. I
know the world isn't perfect. I know there are people who never
find love, but I have to believe that despite all that, love is out
there and attainable. I also have to believe that in a couple
years, if I don't find the man of my dreams, I'll have a loving
family to fall back on and great friends to keep things light. I'll
be happy and things we'll be just fine.
