I am creative, playful, and poetic.
My Self-Summary
I am a thing-maker. I love to make things, think about things,
share things, and more or less try to fit little snippets of this
wondrous, baffling existence between my cupped hands. I seek to
then open my hands for people and reveal possibility and the rich
complexity of being here – being human.
What I’m doing with my life
Some things I’ve cobbled together: hand-made shoes, a flour mill
rigged up to an old Schwinn exercise bicycle, hand-woven gigantic
reproductions of clothes tags (part of an art project about the
politics and ecology of clothes - see picture), teacups, poems
about teacups, carrot ginger soup, teeny tiny letters sealed with
wax, dice with drawings of vegetables on the faces. I like to make
things that attempt to reveal the marvelous extraordinariness of
the everyday.
I dig reading, writing poetry, cooking, eating chocolate (mostly
only if it’s fair trade and organic and so I believe in it’s
story), farmer’s markets, my bicycle, the milk crate on the back of
my bicycle, funny things small children say, oolong tea, finding
odd little artifacts on eBay and in junk shops, sewing, garlic,
hiking in the hills, running, kale, intimate philosophical (yet
grounded) discussion, non-violent communication, eco-living and
green design… I studied politics, philosophy, art, and
environmental studies in college and have been doing related work
for the last 5 years. I'm currently running my own little cottage
industry and creating art projects to create a more playful and
conscious world.
I’m really good at
coming up with wacky ideas that dance at the edge of the possible

what is possible
where things come from
how to make this or that
if time is linear or not
which thing is most important
how art and politics interact
where questions come from
how ideas pop into our heads

how the human heart opens

You should message me if
you think we might connect in a creative way - even just as
friends. You don't need to be just like me - just be passionate
about life.
