My self-summary
I grew up in Oakland California, surrounded by a lot of people intensely driven by things like art and music and politics. So of course I rebelled by playing endless hours of basketball on the playground, while eating mostly sunflower seeds. Meanwhile, I learned to play the harmonica, graduated from Berkeley, and moved to LA to pursue a career in Entertainment (not as an actor).

The harmonica career went nowhere.

But as a fallback, I've written a film, produced many advertising campaigns, music supervised TV shows and films, produced plays, wrote words in a newspaper, served on an arts foundation, and co-produced a Mexican Masked-Wrestling and Burlesque Spectacular.

That seems like a lot, but it doesn't include the thing I'm most proud of, which is the friends I've made along the way. Each of them possessing some magical combination of the character traits I aspire to: smart, funny, loyal, sexy, humble, whimsical, honest and hygienic.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm living in SF, and working in Advertising. Sometimes I work on music projects, but I really don't consider that work.
I’m really good at
I can write whimsically in script format. And play harmonica.

He mostly reads scripts. Whimsically isn't the same as funny. And his harmonica career has pretty-much peaked
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a nice smile, to which I credit my parents, both of whom have perfect teeth and healthy gums. They also Skype each other from the living room to the kitchen.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm often reading several books at a time. I keep one in the car to read when I'm early for things. Spy novels are good for that because they have short chapters. At work, it's all about non-fiction -- politics and business topics. At lunch, I read novels.

I love movies and music. But I don't love making lists. But if it's great, it would be on my list.

I love any expertly prepared meal. That includes home cooking.
The six things I could never do without
A book in progress.

A place to park my car. (update: I now also have a motorcycle partially because this list made me realize that parking shouldn't be that important that it makes this list)

A creative project to work on.

A black suit and a well-pressed shirt.

A friend who answers the phone after midnight.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why things are how they are. And why people do what they do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Wearing layers. Thinking about a Saturday motorcycle ride.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I find the private things that I'm not willing to admit funny.
