My Self-Summary

Profile(Me) V 2.0

(revised for brevity and reduced babblement)

Hello and welcome to my profile!

Secondly, and out of order, I went and asked a few friends for good single words to describe me. They came up with things like 'excessively low drama', 'something between Invader Zim and The Tick', 'kind of like Eddie Izzard without the great accent and thing for high heels', 'far more responsible than you'd think, and 'grand-high-poobah-geek-with-social skills'

Note each was several words. My friends follow instructions about as well as me.

First, and equally out of order, I'm gleefully and eccentrically attached to rjoy.

As what I've become aware is a needed clarification, there is indeed an opening for someone similarly quirky and compatibly crazy, our dynamic bears little resemblance to an open relationship or even the more typical variants of polyamory. We're serious and passionate people and not at all interested romantically in anyone who doesn't find the other similarly awesome.

Not that we're some bored couple looking to spice things up. We've both lived in long-term triples (I love that term) and it fits us The only opening involves someone else being just as happy and spoiled as we are and a full fledged equal in all respects. We got together with that intent and we don't do things halfway.

So, if there's any seeking of various smooch-like-activities, it'd also have to involve low drama, bad dancing and singing, general dorkiness, and general adoration of the twixt of us, as well as capacity to be mutually adored and generally loved a lot.

It's weird, but it works if you're similarly quirky :) (and slightly insane)

On the non-smoochy side, some of the requirements are similar (mellow and groovy, silly, not prone to taking yourself overly seriously, never been convicted of a felony, has elbows). I've let the currently-blissful-like make me lazy about actually going out and meeting new people, so feel free to wave! But admittedly, the current life and frequent dialogue is surprisingly fulfilling, so I don't get out so much anymore.

(yes, this version is shorter)

What I’m doing with my life

Enjoying the heck out of it. Things are generally fantastic and the days are generally filled with variants of 'happy' punctuated occasionally with 'work' and 'sleep'

So, I've let my plans to form a cult and take over the world stagnate for far too long and I'm again looking to put that together. I'm not looking for a figurehead position though, I'm more the power-behind-the-throne-who-reaps-all-the-benefits sort.

Other than that, very little. Enjoying the career (working for DHFS, feels nice to part of something vaguely noble) Life's at a great state where nothing's needed but there's plenty of time to play with

I’m really good at

Using parenthesis (really, haven't I used a lot already?)

Making people laugh, or at least being a catalyst of the same. Sadly it is frequently at my expense.

Not creating drama. I tend to bull through your typical politics because it's all horribly complicated, the end result is generally pretty mellow and stable. . . if kind of atypical.

Creating new words. I have my own dictionary in my head, it works. If you have any good additions, let me know!

The first things people usually notice about me

Hmm. I'm not sure.

I suppose I could ask people 'what did you notice about me first', but that kind of comes across as egocentric.

And I suspect the honest responses would be 'You looked like you were up to no good', 'It was hard to miss, you walked into a wall', 'It's not often somebody walks around the office singing [the A-team theme], [Springtime for Hitler], [Staying Alive], [Sha-na-na] quite that badly' or something like that.

This is why I don't ask.

Oh yeah, and some new tattoo / scarification work I've been getting done has been getting poked at a lot. I really need a new pic!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Wow, this is going to be a big big list. I'm going to have to go with snippets.

Books: I seem to lean towards a bit of fantasy (often dark) in my reading. Not that I mind the occasional contemporary book (my first copy of 'Fight Club' practically ended up falling apart) but I seem to devour things like Feist, Gaiman, Lumley, Danielewski, Martin, Barker, and the like.

Movies: We've got an absurd amount of DVDs here, we love our bad movie nights. I've ended up loving Shaolin Soccer, the first Pirates movie, Hero, Infernal Affairs, Kung Fu Hustle, Usual Suspects, Fight Club, Shaun of the Dead, Princess Bride, Army of Darkness, The Hunger, and many more. Sometimes it's fun to watch something genuinely brilliant like Memento. .and sometimes it's just as fun to catch something enthusiastically bad like Black Sheep (just saw it. . the one where the sheep get mutated by mad scientists and go baaaaaad)

Music: A little of everything, with a recent leaning towards 80s stuff, nerdcore, and other sorts of music that amuse and entertain. But who knows, in a few weeks I may go through a punkish phase or one where I listen exclusively to gothy angsty music about how hard life is and how nobody understands. I'm odd that way.

Food. . Pepperoni Pizza is the food of the gods. I truly believe that. I also like Chicken. Not just because I find it tasty, but because I really really hate chickens and enjoy being part of their demise. I specifically request chicken that suffered horribly before being prepared for eating, I think that makes them tastier.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How it'd be great to have someone call me 'Sir' without immediately following with 'you're creating a scene'

You should message me if

(recently added) Since we're happy, lazy bums. . if you're the hippie equivalent of a pushy Italian mother and know someone beyond perfect for us.

If you're looking for a good (if strange at times) friend.

If you're terribly funny and want someone to appreciate your brilliant wittiness.

If me-and-the-wifely-sort are precisely what you're looking for (or even largely intriguing) from a romantic standpoint.

If you enjoy bad movies and have some particularly delightfully bad ones to recommend.

And, lastly, if you just enjoy light hearted and witty banter and fun.

I mean, really, if you're curious say 'hi', I'm about the least scary person out there (odd, but non-scary) (unless you're one of those fundamentalist nutjobs in which case perhaps we'd probably get along terribly. . . unless you're looking for an arch nemesis or something I suppose)

And on that last point, I've found finding a good Arch Nemesis is a very difficult thing. I figured I'd try here searching for highest 'enemy' percentages and I ended up horribly disappointed, as I didn't find anyone I wouldn't be embarrassed to admit was my Nemesis.
