My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Assertive Queer Lady seeks Stylish Gent for Gastronomical Adventures.

Me: Pretty, (unabashedly) chubby, pale skin/long dark hair, short-ish, vintage glamour. I wear leopard print and red lipstick a lot (except in this picture, oddly enough), big jewelry and I never wear pants. Introvert, hussy. Sucker for folks in bowties.

I'm queer and atypical. Here looking for stylish foodies with compatible values who would like to take me out for a meal. I'm really, really fun to eat with.

I've spent the bulk of my twenties thinking about social justice and I'd really like to rekindle my romance with art. I'm also interested in the natural environment - I've lived and worked in both urban and rural areas.

I've read a number of profiles here and as far as I can tell, straight people (well, queer people too) have this idea that a fancy feminine appearance means a woman is somehow less smart, less capable (especially of physical activity), "high maintenance" or a creature from another universe who couldn't possibly relate to you. In queerspeak we call women who adopt fancy feminine presentations "femmes" and we appreciate them for the glorious, complex and visually stunning humans they are. And then we consider the guts it takes to walk through this world as an unapologetic, brazen feminine person. Gender is something we learn to do and make decisions about; some of us like to make fancier decisions than others.

You: Pleasant, literate, stylish, foodie, dude of any race interested in/experienced with queer ladies. In general I find short men and dark hair more attractive, and larger bodies get me going. I like charm, wit and atypical folks; tattoos on you and creative/artistic types. Of course, there are always exceptions.

If you've done some work thinking about the world and your place in it (beyond getting a career and making money), I will probably like you more.

I'm the kind of feminist who is quite happy to have you take me out to dinner, 'cause you probably make more money than I do.

If you want a response from me, write me something that demonstrates you're interesting and that you've read my profile, and have it extend beyond my queer identity, thanks.
