I guess this is where I'm supposed to lie and tell you that I love long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners and romantic getaways. Not that I wouldn't consider any of that for the right partner. But the joy in doing that kind of stuff for me is seeing the look on your face and in your eyes and knowing how happy I've made you. Personally, I'd prefer being buried in the sand, a candlelight bath with my sweetie or driving aimlessly, getting lost and finding great interesting places by complete chance and creating memories.

I'm a fairly quick witted, self deprecating yet pretty mellow kinda guy. I've been told I'm a great catch but that's usually by married women, ugh. I'm a great listener but a poor rememberer, too many controlled substances as a kid I guess, but I do try.

Not real photogenic (see pics), but I do look like George Clooney in person. Honest!! Okay, maybe more like George Costanza! Not that there's anything wrong with that...I'm currently finding that I have to use less and less shampoo. In fact, I may give up the repeat altogether.

Looking for my cute, nerdy, possibly socially awkward partner in life. I've never been to either, but would probably prefer Comic-Con to Burning Man. Or a comedy club as opposed to a poetry reading, a steak as opposed to bocca burger. Care to join me?

Tired of no longer enjoying my chosen profession and working toward a new calling and passion. Ah yes, the good old midlife (if I live to 100) crisis. I say, if you can't enjoy what you're doing, why keep doing it! Life is too short.

Making the best of a bad situation. Guessing your weight. Laughing at the absurdity that is humanity. Wack-a-mole. Procrastination. Creating unnecessary professions.

Love to read but only shallow fiction. Novels, crime mysteries and humor. Couldn't quite finish "The Power of Now" or "A New Earth" but I should get props for trying!

Movies are one of my favorite things but haven't been finding much time or the right company to go. Enjoy both indie and big studio pics. Don't much get into Michael Bay movies. There's got to be some reason to watch other than just seeing things blow up. Enjoy action-adventure, classics, comedy, sci-fi, horror, documentary, even some romance but it's low on the list usually. Like to really evaluate the direction, cinematography, acting and writing.

Music, like most everything rock from the 60's on up to today. Also love jazz and like classical, but not too fond of most rap, opera or country. All depends on mood. If I like music so much, why do I usually find myself listening to talk radio or Giants games? I confuse myself sometimes!

I will admit (somewhat shamefully) that I do really enjoy TV. In fact, I believe this is actually a golden era for quality if you exclude all the reality stuff. There is actually some really creative and intense programming available now. You just have to look for it. Some of the current best are Homeland, Justified, The Newsroom, Louie, Walking Dead, Banshee, Strike Back and the just completed, Spartacus. There is also a lot of other good stuff like Mad Men, True Blood and Dexter, but I prefer shows that make me think a little more. I know...I'm a TV snob! Enjoy your Honey Boo Boo!

I don't have a typical workweek so Friday's aren't so special. Would love to say that I jet off to Vegas for the weekend, but alas, I live in a world of my making.
