My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
When asked how he would define a successful person, Bob Dylan (who, for the record, I'm not a huge fan of) replied, "somebody who wakes up in the morning, goes to bed at night and does whatever they want in between."

I wish that was how I lived mine, but it always falls just short in the end.

I do try my best, though.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Documentary film making and photography/architectural preservation.

And having a wonderful time doing it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Architectural photography. Noticing the little, overlooked things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wouldn't know, they don't tell me.

Some films that come to mind include The Lives of Others, Bicycle Thieves, Trading Places, Deep Red, Sorcerer, Bad Lands, Night of the Hunter.

After many years of watching his films I have finally decided that "Barry Lyndon" is Stanley Kubrick's best.

The best book I've read since the turn of the 21st century is Gary Shteyngard's "Super Sad True Love Story."

Music: Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Mahler, Phil Spector's catalog, older Motown, YMO and if you like Tangerine Dream you better get at me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A bicycle, or motorbike (but increasingly bicycle)
Open, public space
Good conversation
Good reads
Good music
My passport
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make the world a better place.

I am fascinated with history and the built and natural environments. I spend a lot of time thinking about how cities can optimize their desirability. What makes them livable, interesting and healthy places. I love reading books by urban theorists like Jane Jacobs and Lewis Mumford. If you find these topics interesting too we'll probably have much to talk about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Whatever my most interesting option is. I can say this with certainty, however: I'm probably not at a bar or night club on Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm no good at writing about myself.

You want to meet a good-natured, intelligent, entertaining, but not overbearing person.

You have 3 out of 4 of the above traits.

You are more interested in living life to the fullest than living the "American dream."

You know the significance behind my handle.

You feel so inclined to.
