I'm an artist, and a graphic designer by trade. I
draw, write, digitally manipulate, and
pretty much try my hand at any medium I can get my hands on. I love
books and movies, I play video games and
tabletop roleplaying
games. I've been a bassist for somewhere around eight
years, and I dabble in other musical instruments a little. I'm of average
height and build (about 5'6" and 160 lbs, slim). My interests
include reading,
watching
movies and television shows (with a strong
bias to dvds over
cable) immersing myself into videogames, composing music, writing short stories or
films, hosting

My self-summary
What I'm doing with my life
I'm currently taking some time off of the art school I am pursuing a graphic design
career via, and I'm putting the majority of my time and effort into
freelance contracts for various design jobs. I hope to begin saving
up a large amount of money, and finish my degree so I can try to
achieve a salaried position at a design or advertising firm,
perhaps as an art director or graphic illustrator.
Anything design oriented, I would put my all into, and this is what
I would like to do with my life.
Currently, I spend the majority of my free time writing, and I'm considering submitting a few things for publications, which will be a first for me. I also have several cats, which in and of itself is a job worthy of most of my attention.

design, video games. I'm told
that I'm funny, I'm fairly intelligent, I can cook. I'm a jack of
all trades, so there's a large number of things I can do pretty
well, but generally, if it's a form of art, it's my forte.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
I have blue tinted prescription glasses. I also have long hair.
These seem to govern first impressions, as I have learned from half
a decade of job interviews. I try to show people my funny if not
just slightly cynical side when I meet them, if I'm
not completely paralyzed with shyness. After I talk for a while,
people sometimes notice my tongue rings. Oh, and occasionally
my voice is complimented, but of course, I can't see anything to
it.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I read a certain category of books that I can never quite properly
genre. I love the entirety or Chuck Palahniuk, William Gibson,
H.P.
Lovecraft, I also enjoy most of Michael Crichtons library
and a host of other novels in the same vein. I like lots of
literature, but I have a very strict filter and dismiss a lot of
books for being too watered down or immature.
Again, with movies, I love many kinds of movies, in fact, there are few movies I am not at least content with watching. I even enjoy picking on movies that fall below my standards. While dating always seemed awkward and complicated for me, I am always in the mood to go out to the theatre. Some of my favourite movies include Boondock Saints, The Matrix, Oldoy, Sin City, Dark City, Resident Evil, Bill and Teds Bogus Journey, Firefly (yea, I know it's a show, but it's so cinematic I couldn't resist), The Fifth Element, Fight Club, Se7en, The Order . . . there are really far too many.
Music . . . that's always a hard one to tackle. I listen to rock, progressive, techno, classical, punk. I suppose I would take the road that most avid music fans take, and pigeonhole it down to almost anything with the exception of rap and country. Some of my favourite bands are Ben Folds, Brendon Small, Depeche Mode (old and new), Pink Floyd, Danny Elfman, Mindless Self Indulgence, Nine Inch Nails, Queen, Stephen Sondheim, Voltaire.
I eat a lot of kinds of things, but I don't eat a lot. Pretty much the only things that turn me off are specific foods. The ones I get the most flak about are probably that I don't eat cake, chocolate (usually . . . I just don't enjoy it) and popcorn. I am always in the mood for sushi, hummus, any decent pizza, and I drink far more soda than is probably healthy, though I detest Pepsi and any product their corporation makes. Dr. Pepper is my drug of choice.

My cat, caffeine, the internet, human contact, a writing

My writing (really
really long time thinking about it), my life as if it were an
action movie, my life as if it were a zombie apocalypse movie, escapism like books and movies,
and I spend a lot of time thinking about my immediate future, and
not a lot of time thinking about the long term.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching tv at home
with my roommate or maybe out at a party with close friends. You
can probably also find me roleplaying, and occasionally
playing World of Warcraft (though I
really don't spend as much time there as I used to). Friday is just
a day for me, I don't give it special treatment.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I'm a very sexual person, I enjoy sex, I crave it often, and if I go out with
a girl, I would
almost definitely like to have sex with her. I make a lot of
sexual references
and jokes, even with
and around people I have no intention of dating. I consider myself
experienced and advanced in sex, and I am willing to be with a
partner who is either far more or far less experienced than me.
