My self-summary
I'm an adventurer of life. An undercover punk. A sweet geek. A rock and roller out-of-controller.

I'm a guy that likes to relax on the weekends, and a good party or hanging with friends is just the key. I like a good time, but I'm not the party animal I used to be.

Hell, I don't have anything deep and self-reflective to say,
I usually trip over myself, so let me know if I do and don't over think it. I want to own a suit of armor, but I'm no Prince Charming. I could be your Mr. Right, but I'm not Mr. Perfect.
What I’m doing with my life
I could come up with something goofy to say here, but in reality, I spend my time chilling and working. My full time job is pretty rough and draining, but ultimately fulfilling. I help a lot of people and it pays fairly well, but I'm not advertising what I do.

I also help out at a comic book store in DeKalb, so that's a lot of fun. I'm a big time old school geek, comic books are my real passion. Gotta love the plethora of new movies Hollywood is coming out with!

Trying to be less neglectful of my gym membership, need to get it up to 3+ times a week...
I’m really good at
Pointing out the absurdities of life. What's the point of life if we can't all laugh at the cosmic jokes?

Interviewing people from all walks of life, comprehending complex bureaucracy. I wrote for a college paper which won the equivalent of a Pulitzer for some of my work. I miss journalism sometimes, but don't miss measly paychecks, a dwindling job market and crappy hours.

I studied print journalism, international politics and got a minor in history, which has only fed my lifelong obsession with getting facts straight. It comes in handy at both my jobs, from knowing comic book history to remembering specifics of government policy and catching people when they try to scam your tax dollars.

I do bad, in-depth impersonations. Most of which are politically incorrect, highly offensive and completely inappropriate.
The first things people usually notice about me
When someone asks me my age, I keep hearing that I look so young. One of the ladies at work calls me "Baby-face". Better I look young than look old!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: A lot of non fiction, depending on the topic. The history of comic books as a medium is fascinating, as well as nuclear history. Kinda helps that I grew up 2 miles from a nuclear plant. Just got the latest Game of Thrones book in softcover!

Comics: I'm a huge comic geek, but I'm not going to use pretentious, self-absorbed jargon like "graphic fiction" or calling them "graphic novels". They're comic books. I have enough to open a small store, but I have no interest in selling. Chances are, you name it, I've read it, know about it, call tell you about it, etc...

Movies: Name a movie, and if I've seen it, I'll give you my take on it. Some of my favorites are directed by Richard Kelly, David Lynch, Scorsese, the Coen Brothers, Tarrantino and Kubrick. I <3 The Big Lebowski! I like all sorts of movies, and yes, for the right gal, I'll put up with chick flicks, though I might make fun of them as much as I do my bad 80s action movie collection.

TV: Game of Thrones, True Blood, It's Always Sunny, Tosh.0, Curb your Enthusiasm, Futurama, Dexter, Californication, The Walking Dead, Dr. Who, and South Park.

Music: I'm not a music guy, I like a bit of everything, mostly classic rock from the 70's, everything 80's, 90's alt-rock and rock. Bowie is awesome, I love the Ramones. I get laughs from comical/awkward music like the Lonely Island, Hasselhoff and Shatner. Campy montage music is fun too. I'm not too big on rap, hip-hop and country, I used to listen to Q101 (now 87.7!) a lot.

Food: I love the spicy and exotic, Indian and Thai, jambalaya. At the same time I hate mayo, mushrooms, ranch sauce and sour cream. I love pizza, but I keep it simple with pepperoni. And I only eat meat from animals. And occasionally fake meat.
The six things I could never do without
Movies
a hot shower
Comic books
The Internet
Some sort of video game if I was alone, Or a book if I wasn't
Human contact.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where the world has been and just where it may be going, wondering just how far our culture has sank into the proverbial toilet. Generally I'm just keeping track of the stories I collect from life.

Now that the Walking Dead is back in season, I'm thinking either I'd make it all the way through the Zombie apocalypse or die right at the beginning. And I'm wondering if an animal in the Walking Dead got bit by a zombie would it survive the bite? We haven't seen zombie animals but we haven't seen this situation yet either.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday night has become my game night with the guys, and after gaming we usually go out for Steak and Shake or a beer. Otherwise Saturdays I try to hang out with some of my buddies, I might watch some TV(I spend good money on my cable), rock out with some take out or just try to unwind from a long week of work. If I get the urge, a new movie is always good too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a T-Pain Microphone.
