I am really smart, playful, and devoted.
My Self-Summary
I'm a normal fella, who wants to find the right woman to share my
life with and to have me share hers. I have both a fun side and a
serious side. I have a deep belief in
God and
Christ. I am a very affectionate man, and
I am looking for a woman to inspire my heart and mind. If we can
"click" on those levels, then who knows where it can lead?
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a
baseball
and
softball
umpire for youth up through college, and a basketball referee for
youth up through high school. I love my work. There's nothing
better than going out onto more green grass than some city kids see
in a week, or going into a gymnasium packed with fans, watching a
game being played, having the best seat in the house, and getting
paid for it! How great is that?
I also am a Christian Counselor. Helping people get through their
problems, and letting them have a ray of hope to live by... that is
just about as exciting as watching a home run or a basket at the
buzzer!
Outside of work, I learn day by day how to be a better man, and
hope to keep on learning a little more each day. Now, all I need is
the lady to share it with. I hope you're out there.
I’m really good at
Looking at the big picture of things... While everybody else sees
the trees, I usually can see which way the forest is growing.
Unfortunately, people usually don't want to change the patterns by
which they live, and so they end up with the consequences I
foretell... it's sad to watch people you care about get hurt. That
is my yoke, I guess.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am VERY gregarious, probably to a fault... oh, and they notice my
vocabulary in short order.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books... just about anything. Mysteries, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Sports,
History and books
about relationships and self-improvement. And the best book in the
world, HIStory, the
Bible.
Movies... anything is good with the right person next to you. I
don't really enjoy subtlety in movies, though... Character studies
don't turn me on. I enjoy historical-based or futuristic/fantasy
themes in both my movies and my books. Drama between people or
events make me think, and I love good conversation based on events,
either fictional or reality.
Music... anything but hip hop or rap.
Country, classical, oldies are
great.
Food? Heck, the only food I don't like is Mac & Cheese.
The six things I could never do without
Six, huh? Okay, since I already specified God and Christ, I won't
reiterate it here. Keeping strictly to the Earth-bound.
1. Music... when I don't have it playing, I'm usually humming,
singing or whistling.
2. My mouth... I mean, I couldn't smile without it, and I love to
smile and laugh.
3. Great Conversation. I could not see going through life without
interchange about current world events, current family thoughts,
past or future considerations, etc.
4. Books... I am a voracious reader.
5. Dreams... I am always trying to think of what or where I will be
sometime in the future. By enjoying today, and dreaming about
tomorrow, I can find pleasure in all of my days, even when things
aren't going perfect.
6. This is the place where I want to fill in the name of that
special lady who makes my heart flutter just to think about her,
and hers flutter just to think about me. But... then again, when
I've found her and she's found me, I won't be on this site anymore,
will I?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I just spend a lot of time thinking, period.
On a typical Friday night I am
Umpiring or refereeing a game, and then relaxing afterwards.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Okay, a couple of things to get me bounced out of the male union: I
WILL ask for directions and I DO read instruction manuals... does
that make me a bad person?... oh, and I am PROUD to say I like
Barry Manilow. But no, I never owned a Pet Rock, so I didn't sink
to the lowest of the low.
You should message me if
You want a man to share with you and you are willing to share just
as much. I want to talk with you for hours on end like our voices
were going to fade away tomorrow. I want us to hold each other like
we can't bear to let each other go. I want us to live like we were
dying, and love like it's meant to be. I know, I'm a romantic...
but hey, why not shoot for the moon?
