My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am interested in art, writing, reading, creativity, etc., though my day job is internet marketing. I like to paint, draw, and sculpt when the inspiration strikes. I am also interested in things like philosophy, soccer, learning to play the guitar, wine, road trips, and books to name a few. I was raised Catholic but now consider myself Agnostic more than anything else.

I love to make people laugh, and I think that I can get along with pretty much anyone, except those who are really arrogant, or shallow and not interested in original thought. I am trying to meet new people here in Portland and want to have a good time, get to know the area, and hopefully find a match in the process.

Some other quick things about me: I wish I could just wear jeans and flannel shirts all the time, but I do clean up alright. I feel most inspired and relaxed when it’s cloudy. I’m kinda shy initially (I am an introvert after all), but for some reason people seem to find it funny and charming, and I do open up eventually...

I am much better in person I think, so I don't want to spell too much out in this summary. If you have any questions, just ask. Basically I am looking for some of these types of qualities: loves to learn and grow, thinks intelligence is sexy, smart, fun, motivated, goofy, creative, inquisitive, open and friendly, supportive, laid back, etc.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Have been in Portland for a little over a year now after moving from Cleveland, Ohio. Starting to play soccer again, learning to play the guitar, painting and drawing, and reading. Taking comfort in the colder, gray days.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My job; online marketing. Art and writing. Making people laugh. Staying cool under pressure. Listening. Providing perspective. Saving up chores/tasks for the weekends. Taking 99 bad photos to get 1 good one.
The first things people usually notice about me

That I am easygoing and calm (I know, exciting, right?!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love music and am learning to play the guitar (have a long way to go.) Some artists that I listen to often; Elliott Smith, Freedy Johnston, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Weezer, Manic Street Preachers, The Kinks, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The English Beat, New Order, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Ocean Blue, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison, The Smiths. Lots of new bands to discover in Portland, too...

I enjoy reading when I get the time and I collect books. Here are some authors that I will usually pick up: Clive Barker, J.D. Salinger, Joe R. Lansdale, Brian Keene, A.M. Homes, H.P. Lovecraft, Iain M. Banks, Albert Camus, Charles Stross, David Ohle, Bentley Little, and comics by Matt Wagner, Frank Miller, Mike Allred, Garth Ennis, or Grant Morrison.

A few of my favorite movies: The Big Lebowski, Fletch, National Lampoon's Vacation, The Wedding Singer, Donnie Darko, Fargo, Anchorman, Stranger Than Fiction, The Sure Thing, Spinal Tap, Rushmore, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Kingpin, The Truman Show, and Dumb & Dumber.

I rarely watch television, but there are some amazing shows that I do catch on Hulu or have on DVD...Family Guy, American Dad, Ren and Stimpy, Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!, and Futurama. I really dig some of the older shows as well, like the Pink Panther, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Quantum Leap, and Laverne & Shirley.
The six things I could never do without

Road trips
Family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Exploring new areas of Oregon, family, where I will go for a walk this evening, how I can get to a point where I am getting paid to be creative, what I would do with 10 million dollars, what-if scenarios that involve finding the closest exit quickly...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trying a new restaurant or pub, watching a favorite movie with pizza and beer, going for a long walk while pondering what is and what's to come...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmmm...I'm sure we can get into this later.
