My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am originally from Indiana. I studied at IU, though after a couple of years I decided to leave and move across the country. It was a "college for its own sake" situation and I was just more interested in other things at the time.

I have been to 21 states and counting. I love exploring new places and doing new things.

I love to help people, from volunteering to just grabbing a bucket and helping bail out a flooded neighbor. I am probably overly opinionated (but that's just like my opinion, man). That comes from growing up in a family that loves to debate. I learned young that if I wanted to have an opinion then I have to be able to back it up. And I enjoy a spontaneous streak. I would much rather do something novel than fall into a routine.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm back in school because hell yeah 28 year old college kid. Though seriously, I needed a career change. Meanwhile, I am the shipping manager at a small start-up company.

I'm going through a bit of a personal renaissance. I've recently taken up photography and piano and have been enjoying both. I have always thought photography was pretty lame because anyone can point a camera and shoot, but learning actual photography techniques like how to shoot things that aren't actually there is a fun and rewarding challenge. I also just bought a new Jeep this year. Mountains, you're on notice.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering things. I never forget a face or an event. I'm also good at seeing the positives in any situation.

Writing. If I were to claim an artistic outlet, this would be it. Never anything formal, but my lens on life is through my words.

Not getting lost. I know I know. The tired cliche of the man who refuses to admit when he is ever lost. This is just not the case with me. I have a finely honed sense of direction.

And I think the most enjoyable thing I'm good at is just picking something fun to do spontaneously and doing it, even if its something small.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, Community, Scrubs, Breaking Bad, and Firefly-- Browncoat for life.

I like way too many movies to casually list a few, but they're generally romanticized time period dramas (The Last Samurai, Memoirs of a Geisha, Legend of the Fall, Apollo 13, etc) I don't really dig horrors. They just don't do anything for me.

Favorite books are The Devil in the White City and The Giver (childhood favorite).

As for music, I'm all over the place. At my heart I'm a melodic rock kind of guy and always will be, but I've got a few spots open in my soul for some Yo-Yo Ma and some good R&B. Hell I've been known to like a P!nk song too from time to time.

I love sushi, pizza, German chocolate cake, and brownies.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. A good pair of jeans
2. My phone. I hated listing this as I'm not really a chronic phone user, but I hate NOT having it. It's just so useful.
3. Netflix. You're guilty of binge-a-thons too, don't lie.
4. A fluffy but firm pillow
5. Loose-leaf teas. Know of any good places to get some in FoCo? I have been getting all mine in Boulder.
6. Necessities of life: air, water, food, brownies, etc.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future. I am very intent on not losing myself to routine. I want to be doing cool things every day until I am 90+. The classics are still good--nice house and all that, but I am also thinking recreational pilot's license because hello awesome. The short term plan is to find a girl who will go skiing with me and laugh while I fail at the bunny slopes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wondering if it's Thursday or Saturday. Or is it Tuesday?

I try to do cool stuff all week. But in the spirit of the question-- I love to just get out of the house and go do something. Grab some Starbucks and walk around Old Town? Sure why not. Want to go get lost in Costco? Of course I do. Should we get in the car and drive all the way to Denver just for dinner and a movie? Yeah, duh.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really hate birds. I wouldn't quite say phobic, but they creep me out. It probably all stems from the time I was like 7 and some mother Blue Jay decided to dive bomb me and knock me over on my way home from school one day. Either way, birds get a whole can of "nope" from me.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You like what you see, obv.

-You are easy going. I tend to say what's on my mind and I appreciate someone that can handle that.

Or if you want to bribe me with brownies for any good reason... I'm totally cool with that.
