My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I would say I am a walking contradiction in many ways. I am a bit of a rationalist, but I also think I have a pretty big heart. I am a bit of a nerd, but I am also a bit of a jock. And I am both a dreamer and a pragmatist. Mostly I am pretty laid back and love to enjoy all the adventures of life, both small and large.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I am rerouting my life's course towards going back to school and finding something more enjoyable for my life and am always looking for that dare to be great moment. Meanwhile I'm running the shipping department at a small start-up company to pay bills and things.

I'm also going through a bit of a personal renaissance. My old hobbies lack the depth and creativity that I am looking for, so I am spending a fair bit of time exploring new ones and refining them. I have just recently started learning piano and experimenting with some things in the kitchen. I just bought a new Jeep and have been having all sorts of fun with that.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering things. I never forget a face or an event. I'm also good at seeing the good in any situation.

Writing. If I were to claim an artistic outlet, this would be it. Never anything formal, but my lens on life is through my words.

Not getting lost. I know I know. The tired cliche of the man who refuses to admit when he is ever lost. This is just not the case with me. I have a finely honed sense of direction.

And I think the most enjoyable thing I'm good at is just picking something fun to do spontaneously and doing it, even if its something small.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I shave my head and am cool enough to wear sunglasses at night (I don't really do this part). Also I'm generally mild-mannered. I'm not the center of the room, but that's generally by design.

People tend to say I look intimidating, but I try not to be. I'm a pretty nice guy, imo.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, Community, Scrubs, Breaking Bad, and Firefly-- Browncoat for life.

I like way too many movies to casually list a few, but they're generally romanticized time period dramas (The Last Samurai, Memoirs of a Geisha, Legend of the Fall, Apollo 13, etc) I don't really dig horrors. They just don't do anything for me.

Favorite books are The Devil in the White City and The Giver (childhood favorite). Did you know they're making a movie of this? So psyched.
Anything Dawkins, Hitchens, or Harris.
And I'm going through a phase of what I'd like to refer to as ancient far east self-help books.

As for music, I'm all over the place. At my heart I'm a melodic rock kind of guy and always will be, but I've got a few spots open in my soul for some Yo-Yo Ma and some good R&B. Hell I've been known to like a P!nk song too from time to time.

I love sushi, pizza, and brownies. Seriously. Brownies. Take note.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. A good pair of jeans
2. My phone. I hated listing this as I'm not really a chronic phone user, but I hate NOT having it. It's just so useful.
3. Netflix
4. A fluffy but firm pillow
5. Fall time
6. Necessities of life: air, water, food, brownies, etc.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Not to be that guy with that in his profile but I would like to save the world. Part Jack Bauer style and part Angelina Jolie style, but without the adopting half of Africa bit.

Also I'd really love to one day live in Florence and Japan (and/or China). All that art...

and I'd also love to be one of the first civilian colonists in space. This is probably my greatest unrealistic passion. I was the "I want to be an astronaut!" 4th grader.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wondering if it's Thursday or Saturday. Or is it Tuesday?

Most of the time I'd rather just hit up Netflix at home or possibly dinner somewhere nice and then go for a walk in a random direction. This doesn't mean I'm boring. I love to embark on a spontaneous adventure at any given chance.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really hate birds. I wouldn't quite say phobic, but they creep me out. It probably all stems from the time I was like 7 and some mother Blue Jay decided to dive bomb me and knock me over on my way home from school one day. Either way, birds get a whole can of "nope" from me.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You like what you see, obv.

-You are easy going. I tend to say what's on my mind and I appreciate someone that can handle that.

Or if you want to bribe me with brownies for any good reason... I'm totally cool with that.
