My self-summary
I take incredible extended arm, single handed pictures. Much better than any pictures I've taken with two hands. You know the kind where two people don't want to ask a stranger to take their picture and instead they press their cheeks against each other and hope the cameraman is aiming somewhere near their faces. Sometimes if it's a cute girl I'll sneak a little *smooch* in after. It's crafty but effective.

I am not embarrassed or ashamed of being on a dating site. In fact I think it's exciting because we have no questions as to each others' intentions. You want to meet someone to talk about why corn tortillas are better than flour, you can. You want to talk about how you could imagine using handcuffs, a necktie, and a soup ladle, have at it.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to figure out a way to get back to London. Or New Zealand. I do a lot of math as well. For example, you plus me equals us, I know my calculus *wink*
I’m really good at
Making behind the back passes with any object.

Cracking eggs with one hand WITHOUT breaking the yolk. (The key is to twist and separate)
The first things people usually notice about me
Well it is likely that you are like me and people notice things about you, you never new were cool. Like I have multi-colored eyes with a yellow spikey ring around the pupil. Or with my hat on, I look like Che Guevara but with my hat off I look like either Tom Green, Ashton Kutcher or Clay Aiken(? That one was weird, she and I did not become friends) One very obvious thing, my chin dimple. People often notice it and then touch it. A girl once asked me how I keep it clean, I didn't know how to answer so I said they make tiny brushes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Freakanomics, The Botany of Desire, 31 Songs by Nick Hornby, Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Jesus Son, The Math Book: From Pythagoras to the 57th dimension, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Captains Courageous, Lord Jim, Life of Pi, The Autobiography of Johnny Cash Cash by Johnny Cash (ok not really), The End of Faith, Liar's Poker, Moneyball, What is the What

Craigslist Joe, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Searching for Sugarman, The Big Lebowski, The King's Speech, Hurtlocker, High Fidelity, 25th hour, Once, Shakespeare in Love, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Rock, The Game, and many, many more. I get very emotionally involved with movies. I also try to go to at least one film festival at the AFI every year.

I'm going to cop out and say I don't know how to answer the music question. However I will say this, my friend Rich made me a mix before I went to London. It had Radiohead, Spoon, Ben Kweller, Ben Folds, The Kooks, The Fratellis, Gomez, Rooney, The Bravery etc.. A really good mix tape can change your life. Thanks Rich.

Tomato, chopped, with a bit of balsamic vinegar and good olive oil, some basil, salt, oregano, touch of garlic on toasted rosemary bread.
The six things I could never do without
Public Radio. WTMD in the morning for the soul and WAMU or WNPR in the afternoon for the mind.

College Basketball then baseball season.

One interaction with a stranger in the morning. Small talk or whatever it may be, it energizes me. "You've got to get out on the streets and talk to a stranger. Drink a beer with breakfast. Take the ugliest girl home at the party. Go travel to Texas and go line dancing with married women that wish they weren't married. You never know what life will put in your lap when you open your arms and embrace it."

British GQ (not American, they always put guys on the cover)

Two good pillows. One, medium firm with significant filling to rest my head on, one large and soft to clutch while I fall asleep.

Peanut butter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I recently started doing meditation with a friend of mine. 10 minutes a day on Tuesdays and Sundays. It's not super involved, just 10 minutes silent sitting, trying to clear my head and notice our thoughts. My thoughts I've learned go something like this. Sex, sex, strange sex, anal sex, my current job, my future job, going back to school, boobs, sex, threesomes, the 10th dimension, sex, tan sex, pale sex, owning a dog, owning a house and a dog, the next woman I meet, where we'll go together, public sex, falling in love, falling in love with her, if I've ever really have been in love, sex, if i like boobs or asses better, I'm falling asleep, sex, moving to croatia, moving to london, moving to new zealand, getting tied up, tying someone up, panties, pussy, boobs, sex. I'm hoping that I can clear my head a bit more the next session.
On a typical Friday night I am
There are two ways to answer this as there is every question, where I would ideally be and where I really am most of the time. Ideally, I'm in the corner of a dark bar with a trio playing an acoustic set and loads of atmosphere. A woman is acrossing from me sipping red wine. We are with a good group of friends lost in conversation about the best and worst special guest of the Mystery Gang is or how many springs we have left to see and what we'll do with the next one.

In reality I'm likely at home, thinking about how to make this ridiculous stuff happen, probably while watching Inglorious Bastards, The Shawshanke Redemption, The West Wing or Band of Brothers or some other movie or show I've seen a thousand but can't resist watching each time it's on. If I'm really lucky, I'm out with friends like the rest of you, wandering around the city making just enough of an ass of myself to talk about the next day, hoping for the chance encounter and thinking about the day when the ideal and the reality change places.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I often go to the grocery store in the evening out of courtesy for other customers because I walk slowly when I shop and other shoppers get frustrated with my pace. Anyway, the night after the grocery store trip, I won't be able to fall asleep because I get so excited to eat the food I just bought.

I sometimes brush my teeth in the shower to save time in the morning.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–32
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You search for a craft beer on a friday night as a precursor to an adventure and don't mind ending up at Sip and Bite, trying to figure out what happened. You like museums but can only spend a maximum of 2 hours in one due to information overload. You can throw a baseball, softball, lacrosse ball well enough to play catch. You often start sentences with "I just read this article that said..." Using statistics to analyze human behavior turns you on.
