My self-summary
I'm just your normal, down to earth, native NWsterner. I have a good career which I enjoy most of the time. I have a great group of friends, and family. I work odd hours, and too many weekends. I'm on the road 4 days a week for at least 18 weeks a year, so many times my work schedule gets in the way of having a productive social life. I own my own small place in the city, but I find myself spending less and less time there. I love Seattle, but sometimes the noise and people get to me. My dream would be to have a place in the city and another place with some land somewhere in the northern part of the state near some water. I do enjoy traveling, but sometimes it's just nice to be home. I am kind of a pop culture junkie, I love music (too much to list here), movies, some bad tv. I like to read, golf (though not well), play poker, dominoes, and pretty much any other kind of game. I also just like to kick back and have a good conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to make the best of it, but also, working too much, taking care of my parents, hanging out with good
friends, and trying to improve myself. I've been working on my golf
game, and it's slowly improving.
I’m really good at
Cooking, poker, words with friends, dominoes, bargain shopping, trivia, being a smartass. Rooting hard and being constantly disappointed by local sports teams.
The first things people usually notice about me
My unruly hair. My red beard. I don't know, I've never asked.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Dirt (The true story of Motley Crue as told my their members), Life by Keith Richards, The Bang Bang Club, The Teammates, Lamb...

Movies: The Graduate, Goodfellas, The Royal Tanenbaums (I love Margot Tannenbaum, yet Gwenyth Paltrow annoys me to no end), The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Raising Arizona, Magnolia, Almost Famous, 500 Days of Summer, In The Name of the Father, Jackie Brown...too many more to list. Roadhouse and Deep Blue Sea are guilty, guilty pleasures.

Shows: The Office, It's Always Sunny, The Wire, South Park, 30 rock, Parks and Rec (Ron Swanson is great), The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, NewsRadio....

Music is too much, I have so much and I listen to it all the time, I have a very eclectic mix of stuff, from Judas Priest to the Brady Bunch, Abberfeldy to XTC. My favorites change often, but lately what I've been listening to most: Broken Social Scene, The Streets, Temper Trap, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ryan Adams, Raphael Saadiq, Charles Bradley and the Bullets, Lyle Lovett, Radiohead, New Order, The Rolling Stones, LCD Soundsystem, J Roddy Walston and the Business and too much more..
The six things I could never do without
My Ipad- greatest traveling device ever!
Good headphones
Garlic
traveling
a good pair of slides

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people would ever wear t-shirts, or sweatshirts with kittens playing with yarn or a ball of string on them, it is baffling yet so awesome.
On a typical Friday night I am
well, minimum 18 weeks a year my fridays are spent on the road somewhere in some College town staying in a hotel room, sometimes going out with friends/ coworkers. Quite a few more friday nights are spent at Safeco Field when the Mariners are in town. But on the few I have at home, it's usually spent with friends doing something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I always seem to talk to myself while parallel parking, I sing a lot in the car, and for some reason the older I get, I keep getting more blonde hairs in my beard and temples, at least that's what I'm calling them.

And I like Hall and Oates.

You should message me if
If you find my profile somewhat interesting, and are open to having a conversation. Maybe even meet for a drink, or dinner, who knows? What's the worst that can happen? Some of my worst dates have at least made interesting stories.
