My Notes edit

My self-summary

I'm a free thinker, often question the views and impacts of societies standards and the people that live under them. As you can imagine, this places me against the grain quite often. I find that in order to survive such a position, you have to be somewhat laid back, and let it roll off of you. Do to that, I'm a person who thinks way to much wrapped up in the shell of a carefree goof ball. Kinda contradictory, but it works. I like to meet all sorts of people, especially the kind that like to have interesting conversations, the kind that like to challenge me, and the kind that will change my views on the world as a whole.

Really, I'm not very picky and am open to pretty much anything (barring a select few limited things), though I am a bit of a picky eater :-). My interests range from Camping, which I seldom get to do, to writing, to playing video games, or just hanging out with the guys. I'm also into role playing, and its many forms, as some games I have been involved in help me get a better grasp of different questions I have about the nature of Society.

More lately, I've been working on trying to solidify my views and actually construct things that I believe in from the carnage that I've caused in utterly destroying everything. To put it in a metaphor, I've torn down societies Lego down, but not I feel the need to actually start building something out of it.

What I'm doing with my life

Hehe. Update. I'm back in school, passing my classes (yay) and actually managed to stay focused. Further than that, I'm also in student goverment, and doing my best to...well, do the best I can by the student body.

Also, I've been working on trying to make people more aware of their green/power saving options. Most people don't realize how economically viable some things are.

Next semester, I'm taking an acting class (friend of mine is a director), a physical health class, and a weight lifting class. I wanted to take an actual physical activity class as well, but the only one offered is tennis, which requires explicit permission to take...which I find odd.

I'm really good at

I like to think I'm good at conversation. empathy, and making people feel better about their situations in bad times.

I'm good at being egotistical when I want to be, and rubbing people the wrong way very quickly. I'm good at challenging peoples ideas and beliefs in the world. As such, my closest friends are either people who are to laid back to care, people who enjoy such challenging, and people who's belief structure is strong enough to let it roll off.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

I've been told my eyes are deep and hold a lot of emotion, though I wouldn't know. My voice is apparently "comforting", and I'm 6'3", so I tend to stand out in a crowd. No being sneaky for me, though chalk that up to a good deal of clumsiness as well. :-)

People also tend to think that I hate everyone, but that's not entirely true. I mostly just hate everyone else's passiveness and the fact that they don't try to take an active role in the world around them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The absolute most amazing thing I've ever read is the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman. Don't knock it for being a comic, its got one of the best plots and characters I've ever seen in anything.

Similarly, my favorite book is also by Gaiman. American Gods is rather...interesting.

A friend of mine is currently getting me to read the "Perks of being a wall flower." I'm waiting on him to give it to me, however.

Enders game, the Winter King (about kind Aurther) series, the Holy Grail (about an English archer) series. B: Groundhogs day is my favorite movie for some odd reason. C: Cold, about all of their music. Breaking Benjimin. Nightwish. Hm. Well, really, I like a pretty broad range of things. Rap and country aren't really my things, but occasionally I even find a song or two there that I enjoy.

The six things I could never do without

Friends. Good Food. Love. Consciousness. Internet. Transportation.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Society. Good and evil. Standards. Governments. Past world events. Possible futures. Video games. Role playing. What I'm going to do with my life. What I'm going to do tomorrow. What I want the future to be. How to get from where I am to my goals in life.

More recently, what it means to do good, and what I want to be. I want to do good in the world, leave a lasting impression for the better, but I'm not sure how I want to do that.

On a typical Friday night I am

At a friends house, working, doing homework, some of my own studies, or just surfing.

Homework, and projects are common now, as is the occasional bad horror movie night with friends.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

Anything and everything. My life is an open book, ask and you will receive an answer.

You should message me if

If you think you have the ability to keep up with me.

...:-)

Joking of course. If for whatever reason you feel like talking.
