What I'm doing with my life
This December, I'm rollin' on out to the Navy in Pensacola for OCS.
After I'm done with the Navy, I head to Texas to teach music. Nuff
said! ^_^
I'm really good at
Planning the long term, Anything Music, listening to people,
knowing people deeper than face level.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
Attitude. I'm always smilin', because life is too damned short to
be bitchy about. Besides, I teach band, and if I was down, I would
less than likely be successful at this.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: LOTR, Fahrenheit 451, The Giver, Brave New World.
I don't really have time to watch movies, but if pressed, I would say the Pirates of the Carribean.
Music: Play something for me, I will probably like it.

The six things I could never do without
My Tuba, My Bass Guitar (rest her soul...), Nebraska Football, my
Recurve Bow, and dry firewood. The rest I could manage out in the
wild, lol.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Religion, and not in the traditional way. I think about how the
world might be if religion didn't exist, or if whatever god is
watching us was more human. What if he was a self-righteous
hatemonger? A greedy deity? A lustful creature? What is to say he
isn't?
On a typical Friday night I am
Directing the Band at the Friday Night Football Games.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I'm a terrible oxymoron. I am geeky beyond recognition (I play
jingles from video games on my tuba FOR FUN) and am a jock of all
trades (Husker football, win or lose, is my passion. I wish I had
played football as a youth just so I could justify walking on). I
love to be in shape, yet enjoy chilling with a game of Zelda or
Halo as much as the next guy. I am one of the straightest
not-straight men you will meet, as I am very competitive, masculine
in attitude, and yet tend to like boys and girls alike. I hate it
when gay men talk with a lisp; it propels a poor stereotype.
