My Notes edit
My self-summary
I'm a computer person. I tend to play computer games, watch a lot of movies, and read a lot of books. I also listen to a wide variety of music and have become addicted to podcasts.
In no way should I be taken seriously. I deal with serious far too much. I come off as a comedic straight-man (Think, Abbott of Abbott & Costello). I may seem as serious as Kramer on Seinfeld -- I am just as silly as Kramer, though.
I also do not think I would put a lot of stock in whatever personality awards are displayed below. There are times it keeps saying I am a Republican. I am not a Republican. I have no idea what the others ones are, give me a few hundred more questions and they will all change again :)
What I'm doing with my life
I'm really good at
Answering questions. It is a bad habit of mine. I'm like the person that was given an overdose of truth serum. I try not to. At least a friend of mine in college convinced me to stop giving percentages. I think he was irked because they were correct.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Other favorite books by author: Terry Goodkind, Sword of Truth series; Rowling, Harry Potter, of course; L.E. Modesitt, Jr, anything Recluse; Laurel K. Hamilton, before she became a pr0n writer the Anita Blake novels were good; R.A. Salvatore, anything Forgotten Realms and other works of his; Michael Crichton; Frank Herbert, Frank and not his son's stuff, Destination: Void; Stephen King, the older stuff; Clive Barker; Neil Gaiman, I totally loved Neverwhere and American Gods; Terry Pratchett; Brian Lumley; Richard Bach; Douglas Adams. I've read tons of other thigs; but those authors and their books are some of my favorites.
Movies: Kevin Smith, I even like his Evenings with Kevin Smith; Batman Begins, Christian Bale; John Cusack, I seem to like anything he's in, even Better Off Dead and his cameo in Sixteen Candles; Bruce Willis, my favorite torment to do to anyone asking me to pick out a movie is to choose Hudson Hawk, ("Bunny, Ball! Ball!); Shrek, and many films with Mike Myers; Star Wars, the original three (episodes 4, 5, 6); I am Legend, Will Smith is an amazing actor; Talledega Nights, Will Farrell pulls off some amazing acting skills (comedy is not easy and highly reliant on a lot of timing). This list could go on. I have around 300 DVD's and around 1900 videos rated on Netflix. This happens when you start watching movies and keeping some track of them at around 10.
Music, current favorite playlist: AC DC, Avril Lavigne, Billy Idol, Billy Joel, Britney Spears, The Cars, Coolio, The Cure, Cyndi Lauper, The Dead Milkmen, Dire Straits, Don Henley, Echo and the Bunnymen, Eurythmics, Garbage, Glenn Frey, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jesus & Mary Chain, Jesus Jones, Joy Division, Kelly Clarkson, Kenny Loggins, Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, Mathew Sweet, MC Hammer, Meredith Brooks, Midnight Oil, Modern English, Oingo Boingo, OMD, Peter Gabriel, Pink, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, She Wants Revenge, Tom Petty, Twisted Sister, Will Smith, Yello. Yeh, pretty crazy current playlist. I was a DJ in college and find most "good" music enjoyable. This led to a collection of more than 300 CD's, LP's, and cassettes. I'm slowly converting vinyl to digital and will likely get cassettes done one day, too.
Foods.... I enjoy a saying that was passed down to me, "eat it before it eats you!" There are not many foods that I dislike. I really enjoy oriental dishes. I grew up with a father who's declared hobby was "gourmet chef" (and, very oddly, he resembled Emeril... if you slapped a handlebar moustache on Emeril).
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I do not realize my age most of the time.
I will message just about anyone at any random time because something clicks my curiosity.
I babble. I try not to; but, it happens.
You should message me if
I also enjoy silliness. I really enjoy those that know what they want in life and are on their way to obtaining it.
Also if you actually have the chutzpah to message me. I give the probability of receiving an unsolicited message from anyone on here at about 3%. I doubt it is that high; but I'm willing to keep an open mind. I can be quite fun, very sociable, well behaved, properly mannered, and will respond to offers of free coffee.
