I'm excited to be living in San Francisco. I got to see a Giants game live and it was so fun! I like being active, especially with outdoor recreation. I like hiking and backpacking the most, but don't know how much I'll be able to do with living in the city. I grew up in Sacramento, went to college in L.A. and am definitely a NorCal gal. I lived in Alaska for 7+ years and miss the natural beauty but not the weather.

Living in San Francisco (recent transplant), working on my Masters in Counseling. I've had many jobs, many in the environmental field, but the longest run was teaching for 5 years. I'm training for the next career. Having meaningful work is important to me, but more important is having a close network of friends and family to enjoy life with.

For movies, I have different categories for favorites. If they're the ones I go to over and over, my tastes are really unrefined:
Movies: The Back to the Future Trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Goonies, Shag, The Sound of Music, Dirty Dancing, Tommy Boy, The Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed, Christmas Vacation, Caddyshack. My tastes tend to go to more independent, quirky, or Oscar-types for ones that I think are truly good movies.

Books: I love reading. Am currently reading A heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius and just finished Hard Eight. I most often read mind candy books in the form of chic lit.

I don't watch much regular TV, but like to veg out watching movies on TV usually or whatever junk TV is on. Recently, I discovered reruns of The Big Bang Theory and it's freaking hilarious.

Music: John Denver, James Taylor, Bruce Springstein, Cake, any and all musicals, Cat Stevens, CCR, Pearl Jam, the Eagles, Ben Harper. I pretty much stopped listening to new music in 1999. I like most types of music: country, classic rock, oldies, show tunes, some rap, 80s rock. Not so much hard rock/punk or rap except my favs from the 80s and 90s.

Food...I like most types.
