I'm a university senior with a dual-major in Philosophy and Classics, of all things. Academically, I'm interested in archaeology, Daoism, Buddhism, epistemology, religion, language, ethics, anthropology, sociology.
Academia aside, I'm very into visual arts, photography, tattooing, and piercing. Huge UFC fan, football fan - but really, if it's a sport, I'll watch it. Much love for reading, cooking, beer, camping, and videogames, travel. Huge nerd.

What I’m doing with my life
Chipping away at the final year of my undergraduate degree. Next
year, working on a second degree in African Studies. Ideally, I want
to be working in Humanitarian aid, if I ever finish school.

Books: Perennial favorites include The Catcher in the Rye,
Dune, Lolita, Memoirs of a Geisha,
Ishmael, Foundation series by
Isaac Asimov, Ender's Game and the rest of the
Ender series by Orson Scott Card. Currently working on the
Wheel of
Time, Song of Ice and Fire and
Otherland
series. My guilty pleasures are the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey,
Anita Blake
series by Laurell K. Hamilton. I'm not proud of myself. Nope.
Movies: Braveheart, Gladiator, The Prestige - historical epics are glorious. The Godfather I & II. Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later. Honestly, if it's schlocky horror, post-apocalypse, or involves vampires or zombies, I'm all over it.
Music: I can appreciate most genres to one degree or the next. Huge fan of hip hop/rap, reggae, reggaeton, soul, soca and dancehall. Lauryn Hill, K'naan, Matthew Good, Marley, Lupe Fiasco, Cunninlynguists, Black Milk, Common, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, The Roots, Outkast, Busy Signal, Vybz Kartel, Serani, Movado, Don Omar, to name a few.
Food: Caribbean, Latin American, Japanese, and Cajun are primo. Honorable mention goes to Diet Coke, which - while not technically a food - I drink like water.
TV: Top Chef, Dexter, The Office, Kenny vs. Spenny, True Blood, Rome, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Real Housewives, Star Trek TNG.
