Fahrenheit 451- I love how it addresses the world. How it teaches
us to appreciate the dirt, the substance of our lives, not just the
fireworks and flowers. Man cannot exist soley on frivolity and
Heart of Darkness- I like the romantic overture (natural
romanticism, not love). I always considered the jungle itself to be
the villain, not Kurtz.
The Alchemist- a simple tale that talks about the simplicity of
life, and how easy life can seem. It impacted how I view the
Hatchet- definitely a throwback, but I really loved the difficulty
of existence, and the sheer force of will.
I'm also reading Dead Souls. That's a great book.
Food: I love almost anything. Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai,
Vietnamese, Mexican, seafood (of every kind) Italian, you name it.
As far as actual food goes, mine would be a tomato. I love raw
tomatoes (I know that's weird. Sorry, can't help it)
Music: The xx, the Black Keys, Decemberists, the Strokes,
Augustana, Motion City Soundtrack, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, the
Rolling Stones, Airbourne, Metallica, Judas Priest, Led Zepplin,
ACDC, Black Sabbath, Bruce Springsteen, John (Cougar) Mellencamp,
CCR, Motley Crüe, Foreigner, the Eagles, the Beatles, Def Leopard,
Journey, and the Glitch Mob to name a few.
I like a lot of music. When I'm driving, I'm usually listening to
heavy metal, rock, or CCR/Springsteen stuff. Lots of 70-90s mullet
When I'm with a pretty lady, and the mood gets going, the xx and
Strokes come out.
Everything else just, whenever.
Shows: I watch the news, and Law and Order. A few other shows, but
if you want to really know, ask.
