When I was a kid, my dad and I would spent countless hours staying up looking at the stars or driving home from soccer practice talking about the "what ifs" in life. Sometimes that may have come in the form of "what's out there?' or analyzing any number of current going-ons int he world. To this day, if you get me going enough, or get enough wine in me, I still Love discussing almost any topic deeply.
So, yeah, I Love getting passionate and involved in whatever I'm doing. I have a degree in theatre which allowed me to explore the intensity of people with an artistic passion. And now I'm working on my PhD in Psychology where I get to ask the "what ifs" and "whys" about life with a whole new kind of intensity. So no matter whether we're discussing something serious or frivolously laughing at the TV, I Love passion and honest moments. I crave ALL kinds of mental stimulation! That's why movies, while fun, aren't my ideal first date... I want to get to know you :)
So what kind of person do I tend to gravitate towards? One who has a passion for something, ANYthing really. It doesn't have to be academic or even world-changing, just someone that Loves what they do unabashedly (or is trying to figure out that part of them, sometimes that is very sexy, too ;) And with that, I think it's very attractive when someone Loves being with me but also Loves a healthy balance with their friends or alone time.
My mantra tends to be one of positive regard and acceptance for the way things are. It seems to me that when people accept situations for what they are and don't try to change them, peace tends to take over. And when peace takes over, I think happiness finds its way in to our lives. I Love meeting open-minded people, ones that will push me and help me to grow. I do my very best to accept people for where they are in life (even though sometimes frustration happens ;) I tend to laugh a lot and prefer playful banter. I Love when i can inspire people to go after the things in life they Love . . . after all, the most important people in my life have done the very same for me. And maybe we can even inspire each other.
