I am the coolest, person, and ever..
My Self-Summary
First off, Lexoxo is not a reference to Gossip Girl, it's one of
many nicknames of mine. I just figured I'd put that out there so I
don't disappoint you when you message me to discuss the shows
various plot twists. I've never seen it. BUT you should still
message me and we can discuss other (terrible) TV shows...is it too
late to change my username to LexsRockofLoveBus?
Filling a blank page with autobiographical information is a
daunting task, so for bear with me. Let's get the facts out of the
way so we can move onto the juicy stuff. I was born and raised in
Berkeley, CA before moving to Los Angeles to attend UCLA's Film
Program. I started directing music videos five years ago and it's
been a whirlwind all over the country and world ever since. Ok ok,
enough with the industry press release nonsense, that wasn't so bad
was it?...I love writing, travel, photography, art shows, dancing,
running marathons, camping, good conversation, and most recently
hang gliding. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but if you're not
occasionally scared for your life then you're not living it. My New
Years resolution was to learn to fly and I'm sticking to it. I'm
always up for a good time, very laid back, and can find the fun in
almost any circumstance. According to the ticker on my profile I've
written exactly 1338 "brilliant" characters so I'm going to leave
it there for brilliance sake.
What I’m doing with my life
It's not who you sleep with...but who you dream about....ummmm ok
ok it's a little of both, haha.
I’m really good at
Being modest. Saying anything more would violate my initial
statement, so let's leave it there. Either that or I'm avoiding
talking about myself by making a statement that gives me the
loophole to avoid the question entirely. You decide.
The first things people usually notice about me
My laid back demeanor usually puts people at ease. I've been known
to catch people off guard by actually listening to what they're
saying rather than waiting for an opportunity to talk.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Oh this section is just impossible to fill out. There's no way I
can list everything here. I'm going to have to paint with broad
strokes...
Books...I read a lot of non-fiction; probably because I write so
much fiction I need a breather. Usually the books are science
oriented (ie: anthropology, robotics, brain chemistry), but
sometimes I dabble into politics and philosophy.
Movies...I love dark comedy, documentary, and indie films. I'm not
a blockbuster film guy, more of an art house or second run theater
type. Usually if everyone is hyped up and camping outside the
theater for something, odds are I'm rolling my eyes at marketing
machine that created the unfounded hysteria.
Music...I have a very eclectic taste with music. However, if it
tells you anything I spend most of the time in my car listening to
podcasts.
Food...I love food, nothing excites me more than trying out a new
restaurant or finding a little hole in the wall with the best food
in town.
The six things I could never do without
My Heart, My Lungs, My Limbs, TACOS, My Skin, My Bones
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to fill out internet questionnaires without coming across as a
total self-involved douchebag [/sarcasm]
On a typical Friday night I am
...Batman.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I drive a Volvo station wagon. But don't worry, there's no baby car
seat in the back. And it's an URBO, so it's got plenty of horse
power. It used to be a TURBO, but someone stole my T, so I'm
looking for an umlaut to put above the U to make it look
intentional. Bonus points for people who know what an umlaut
is...to be honest I had to google it to find the right spelling.
You should message me if
...you want to. I'm probably much more likely to respond to people
that put forth the effort and initiative. Since I work from home I
sometimes keep my OkC tab open so if I'm online just IM me, I
promise I won't bite...unless you're into that kind of thing. Oh
and I'm totally into a great pair of eyes. So if you have two of
those, you're a shoe-in.
