Tech-focused nerd who loves Martial Arts, closely resembles a bear, enjoys cooking and dancing like a lunatic when no one is looking.

I don't really fit into any sort of stereotype (that I know of) so if you are a little bit weird yourself you will probably get a kick out of my warped perspective.

If there is one thing I can guarantee about myself, I have an almost unlimited supply of interesting (and generally amusingly weird) stories and love listening to passionate people; in particular hearing what stories they have to offer and trading it for one of my own.

Logical and analytic, I am pursuing a degree in network engineering with a deep passion for all forms of information security, particularly encryption. To tie in with my qualifications I currently own / manage a small IT consultation company where I assist other businesses in upgrading and managing their technological needs.

Apart from that you will probably find me either in front of my PC or TV playing the some classic games, working out at the gym (have to stay active somehow!), or just generally relaxing in some form.

Not thinking through actions well enough and getting myself into situations I really didn't want to be in.

I spent a lot of my childhood playing the piano, along with a few other instruments so although I don't play as often as I used to I am quite passionate about music - with the added benefit of being quite good with my hands / fingers.

Computers and technology in any shape and form. Either building, repairing, modifying computers, or working on my encryption model.

I also love playing video games or just generally surfing the internet for the latest amusing thing that crosses my path.

1. My height, at 6 foot 6 inches I am really hard to not notice in general. I don't fit anywhere particularly well.
2. The red beard, that never fails to get noticed.
3. My accent, even though I am born and bred Australian I constantly get asked where I come from, the general consensus being Canada.

I am also incredibly blunt. I live by the model "If you ask me a direct question I will give you a direct answer" with no sugar coating or lies. That is not to say I don't understand tact, I just feel that if someone asks a direct question they deserve a direct and unadulterated answer.

Books
I love a good fantasy novel, with particular focus on Tolkien, JK Rowling, Sara Douglass (loved the Axis Series) and David Eddings (the Belgariad was my favourite book as a kid). If you know a good book, tell me! I love to read all genres and I get utterly absorbed in a new book and you won't see me until I am done.

Movies
As for movies I am generally a sucker for Superhero movies like the X-Men movies, the latest Batman trilogy (and the classics), Spiderman, Avengers, Iron Man, Watchmen (probably my favourite, it's like Quentin Tarantino directed a superhero movie), etc. There's also Inception, Die Hard movies, Harry Potter movies, Silence of the Lambs, Lord of the Rings, Matrix series, and pretty much any zombie movie! However when it comes down to it I really enjoy any movie with a good plot (or lots of explosions!).

TV Shows
I don't watch a great deal of TV, however when I do I am partial towards comedies such as Community, Bobs Burgers, HIMYM, Malcom in the Middle, Scrubs, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Archer, American Dad or some more serious dramas like Breaking Bad (damn straight), Game of Thrones, and Dexter. I am a big Mythbusters fan, I get told all the time I remind people of a mix between both Jamie and Adam. I also watch a decent amount of anime, favourites being Death Note, Code Geass, Hellsing, One Piece, and yes some of the mainstream ones like Bleach and Naruto. Just recently started watching Once Upon A Time and I love it! Great modern play on old fairy tales :D

Music
I have really varied music tastes, I can really only be classified as loving any song with a good beat. In general you will find me listening to bands like Tool, Our Lady Peace, Disturbed, A Perfect Circle, KISS, Muse, Queen, Karnivool, Electric Six, Deftones, Daft Punk, AC/DC, Johnny Cash, and the list goes on and on (those are just the ones that come to mind immediately).

Food
I absolutely love to cook, and I haven't met a person yet who hates my food. I am particular partial to Asian meals (of all variety) and I make a mean stir fry / laksa. My two favourite dishes would be butter chicken and home made vegetable soup (neither of which are Asian meals, however they are definite comfort food favourites of mine)

GAMES!
Going to add another field because I spend a lot of my downtime enjoying them. I love Halo (all of them but my favourite was the original), Diablo 2 (that's right 2, I prefer it over 3), Final Fantasy Series, Borderlands 1/2, TF2, and that is just the start. My favourite genre would be RPG's, I enjoy the progression and development that is available in those games over the hack n' slash aspects of other genres. Not as much a fan of the newer COD's and BF's, I feel the best of those have already happened.

That's a hard one, I am constantly thinking about a lot of things and usually about things in my immediate vicinity. Generally things like zombies, maths, computers, bacon, is that a cat outside my window..? What will I cook for dinner, studying, potatoes, zombies, how cool would it be if I could teleport, which three superpowers would I most want to have, what is the first thing I would do with said superpowers, would I be a hero / villain / something in between?

Whether or not I could build a room where everything is twice the size of its normal counterpart and how awesome it would be to chill out in a massive leather armchair like I was in a giants house.

And of course all the typical male things... What? I can't help it! It's science!

Either at my PC, my friends house or out for a walk. I would love to find someone who is interested in spending Friday night with me playing the latest video game / watching the movie that we were both looking forward to.

If you are looking for a down to Earth guy who knows his way around a good conversation, who is also highly affectionate, loyal to the hilt and with a sense of humour to boot.
