I am vivacious, honest, and feisty.
My Self-Summary
I'm not the best at describing myself. Maybe i'm more of an
experience? Bred, born, and raised in Chicago and proud of it. I'm
an outgoing only child who loves friends and family. Honest almost
to a fault. A sociology degree holder who enjoys discussing the
ins, outs, round-abouts, and headaches of the world. On the other
hand (hopefully the left), i'm quite easy going and laid
back.
I think that life is beautiful but sometimes it sucks. No reason
trying to control the things I can't, I just have to trust myself.
If I do that, there can't be any regrets.
I'm random and have a love for sarcasm, dogs, and quirky
introverts.
What I’m doing with my life
Working for non-profits and entertaining myself and friends. Heck
ya.
I’m really good at
photography, sound, cooking, spelling, listening, watching,
analyzing, laughing, playing with dogs, swimming, watching Cubs
baseball, playing card and board games, hiking, camping, quoting my
favorite movies, being silly, wandering around Chicago, jumping in
puddles, skipping, singing in the car, taking spontaneous car
trips, being random, enjoying strangeness, and most importantly,
being support to my people that are important in my life. Blah blah
blah.
The first things people usually notice about me
my smile that accompanies my sarcasm.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
This is a lot to put into one category. I'll compress.
Books.... Confederacy of Dunces, To Kill A Mockingbird.
Movies, mostly comedies... anything by the Coen Brothers,
Christopher Guest, or the brilliant Mel Brooks. I love movies so I
like a lot and inbetween. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,
Amelie, Shawshank Redemption...
Music ranges. Grew up loving The Beatles and Madonna and still
mostly taken with both. Different genres and eras from classical to
hip hop. The Doors, Dar Williams, They Might Be Giants, Muse and
others fall inbetween.
Food... I love to cook. Also love to eat.
I'm sure that quick overview helped, now didn't it??
The six things I could never do without
my friends
my kitchen spices
laughter
common sense
dissent
...and that's 5. There's a lot of pressure for the right 6th need.
I'll think about it. Toilet paper is a close contender.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
politics, why the Cubs will always be a disappointment, social
issues, why Bert and Ernie refuse to come out, my next tattoo.
On a typical Friday night I am
out with myself, out with friends, out with family, or enjoying
some time at home - preferably with a bottle of wine or a nice
strong drink.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
This isn't exceedingly private, but when I moved last, the majority
of boxes were taken by books, movies, kitchen supplies and Beatles
memoribilia.

if you're willing and able to sing harmony on Beatles songs.
