My Notes edit

My self-summary

is it just me, or were we all a lot more intelligent in elementary school?

i am in the process of re-writing this. the other was far too out-dated to reflect my personality.

for now just know that i have an unhealthy addiction to coffee, film, and jason mraz. also, i'm a vegan of 4 months, vegetarian of 14 years.

What I'm doing with my life

sometimes i have absolutely no idea. i want to experience people and explore existence. right now i'm studying opera and arts management, and should have my degree by spring. really i'm just waiting to be out of school so that i can continue on my path to becoming a developing Bohemian. i started a media company and am planning a nationwide indie music tour, so if you want on board definitely message me.

I'm really good at

everything. especially the art of modesty.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

whatever they're looking for. isn't that how it works?

they probably also notice my conversational spontaneity and randomness pretty early on.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

BOOKS. vonnegut, salinger, fitzgerald. and i also love clockwork orange, fountainhead, books of that nature (which is unfair to even say since the books are completely different...haha but you get me). and "house of sleep" by jonathan coe. he's a new author kind of, but i loved that book and went through a phase of telling everyone i knew to read it...guess how many people listened? 0. i've gotten really into orwell recently, as well.

MOVIES. how difficult is this one? well. here's a breakdown...

directors: tarantino, wes anderson, guy ritchie, david lynch, rodriguez, and i say kubrick but i have actually only seen clockwork orange so that makes me feel guilty. here is a list i wrote out for facebook. i don't know how complete it is but copy and paste is a lot easier than trying to rethink through it all. thinking movies...,

actors: joseph gordon-levitt, john cusack, tom hanks, ewan mcgregor

films: high fidelity, grindhouse, planet terror, death proof, kiss kiss bang bang, american history x, fight club, trainspotting, snatch, memento, the departed, boondock saints, empire records, mulholland drive, blue velvet, down with love, that thing you do!, the holiday, moulin rouge, adventures in babysitting, clockwork orange, harold and kumar go to whitecastle, bill and ted, pulp fiction, perfume, big bird goes to china, mysterious skin, brick, spun.

MUSIC. here is another copied and incomplete list a la facebook. my life is mainly filled with it so...s

JAY BRANNAN, jason mraz, jeff buckley, elliott smith, sufjan stevens, will knox, nicole atkins, the dresden dolls, regina spektor, brad mehldau, bitch and the exciting conclusion, tartan terrors, GOGOL BORDELLO, flight of the conchords, the exfriends, belle and sebastian, the postal service, the shins, the decemberists, of Montreal, architecture in helsinki, feist, jonathan richman, jens lekman, badly drawn boy, art brut, the world/inferno friendship society (also known as the greatest band in the Universe, for now and forever), the ditty bops, kings of convenience, pavement, the fiery furnaces, ben kweller, franz ferdinand, the Slackers, queen, pink floyd, led zeppelin, ben folds, eric clapton, the kinks, the who, elton john, billy joel, moody blues, cream, jimi hendrix, the doors, the guess who, miles davis, jamie cullum, frank sinatra, rufus wainwright, herbie hancock, john coltrane, thelonius monk, duke ellington, bill evans, norah jones, broadway, john mayer, the beatles, gene, counting crows, jack johnson, sublime, donny osmond. gaetano donizetti is my favorite opera composer...he is clearly not as heavy as the likes of wagner, and i like that. his comedic operas are my favorite.

FOOD. i am a vegan. i won't eat it if it could go out and find a mate at some point. i've learned not to say "if it was alive" because people throw the whole plant thing into it. SO. if it could go out and make love and whisper sweet nothings into the ear of another, i would never eat it. people tend to understand carnal/romantic explanations. or maybe it just creeps them out.

TELE!--- it's always sunny in philadelphia!, FRINGE, the office, Coupling (british). flight of the conchords. NIP/TUCK, law and order: SVU, CSI, without a trace, SEINFELD, SNL, the soup, make me a supermodel, conan, almost anything on BBC.

The six things I could never do without

kleenex

coffee

my computer

myspace/new music

running water. (i probably wouldn't last all that long in the wildnerness. i'd like to go camping and have to pee on trees and bathe in rivers for a while, but never for all of my life. i would...die of diseases.)

my voice. for singing, talking excessively, making friends with strangers, defending my honour, everything there is in life. i could never have managed being helen keller. and yes, i almost said anne frank. i always get them mixed up namewise. though i guess in this case it could have been either, since annie couldn't really talk either...permissibly.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

everything. just like everyone else. well, at least that's what i like to believe. i know it isn't true though, because a lot of things i bring into conversation, people look at me like i'm insane. haha

On a typical Friday night I am

trying not to have a typical friday night.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

i have an okcupid profile.

You should message me if

you want to be part of the revolution.
