I'm all about self-improvement on a day-at-a-time basis. So, I'm really physically active. Lots of gym time, basketball, cycling, jogging and just getting up and moving. I'm also really into learning something new every day. That means lots of "reading" audiobooks (not much time to read the traditional way).

To offset my busy lifestyle, I make a point of spending half an hour everyday going to a park to unwind. I like to just sit and watch the birds, the bees ... and the dragonflies. (On a related point, I could watch/listen to David Attenborough's Planet Earth series forever.)

Goals & Aspirations -- Career and Fitness:

I strive to keep fit and healthy with an active lifestyle and good eating habits. I've been a raw-vegan for eight years, though I'm certainly not pushy about it. (i.e. you don't have to be!) Also, I'm naturally lean, so my exercise focuses on strength and endurance, not on shedding the pounds.

I'm very ambitious, career-wise. Sometimes I've allowed that to get in the way of everything else in my life. I've learned to tone that down. Presently, I'm wrapping up the process of getting into an MBA program. I've applied to a number of places across Canada, and recently decided to accept an offer from York University. I'll be moving there in August!

Well, everyone under-estimates my age by at least 5-7 years. Often even more than that. It's annoying at the moment, but when I'm fifty I'll love it. In the meantime, it's hard to meet people in my maturity bracket (grown ups) because I look like I'm twenty. (I'm not saying I don't relate to younger people as well. I'm just saying, you need to have a good head on your shoulders. I know I'm not the only old soul.)

I've done a fair bit of traveling, but haven't left North America, yet. (Been to most of the Canadian provinces, plus about a dozen of the states.) I want to see many, many places in the future, though. First choices for future travel destinations would be France, Germany, Japan, New Caledonia, Russia, Italy, Easter Island, and New Zealand. If you have insight on some others, or know about the places on my list, tell me about them. :-)

I speak a beginner's level of Russian. Currently working on improving upon that. No particular reason. Just enjoy the challenge of learning another language for the sake of the accomplishment itself. Major bonus points if you speak Russian as a first language. I would like someone to practice with (and I think the accent is very sexy, too).

When it comes to English, I'm sort of a grammar stickler, but I'm not a jerk about it. ;-)
