My self-summary
In an infinite sea of men online to choose from, this should be easy, right? I'm picky too, so that makes two of us. Romance shouldn't be like a hunter who sets 100 bear traps in the woods. OF COURSE he's going to catch something! Even a wuss-bag guy is going to snag an unsuspecting gal if he talks to every pretty woman out there without choice or preference. We all want to feel chosen, as though our partner could have anyone in the room but they chose us! And as for me, I'm more of a fisherman; lures, jigs, and a precise choice of water... I know what I'm looking for. I'm here searching for THIS fish, not THAT fish! No net for me. :)

The way I see it, we make trade offs in our love lives – our idiosyncratic shortcomings are made up for by key compatibilities. And so my non-negotiables have been there from the start: ambition, exploration, and a beginner's mind. The rest is negotiable. The third of the three is probably what separates me from the man next to me, that I can look at all the things you've seen for the last 20 years of your life with a child-attitude. Few things loose their wonder when you see the world from fresh eyes, in the here and now.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a bit of a risk-taker and so to ensure a little damage control, I invest in the things that will enrich my life whether there is financial gain or not. I have an avid passion for both film and travel so I recently purchased 2 cameras and a website to begin documenting a mixture of the two. I'm working on a mobile inventory for myself, everything I would need to live out of a backpack, and have already plans to vagabond through South America starting with Bogota, Columbia. While I save up for the journey, I'll be spending much of my free time filming the attractions of New York, meaning that I always know something new and exciting to do!

To build up my travel budget, I work in a restaurant and earn double of any job back in my home state, Missouri. But... the occasional keep-it-short-or-get-fired vacation isn't my cup of tea so I'm not taking the bait. Instead, I'm taking the usual 30 years of retirement and redistributing it throughout my life (Don't tell my boss!) After all, what is the pot of gold that justifies spending the best years of your life hoping for happiness in the last? If I can make even somewhat of a sustainable mobile income, I'll continue traveling for who knows how long, film every bit of it, and worry about making riches along the way. I'm confident I'll do just fine.
I’m really good at
Packing for a trip because I travel with 2 bags & that's it. Soon, I'll bring that number down to just 1. And I'm also good at learning anything that interests me, but more important is the strong desire that I have to learn in the first place. I'm an information sponge. I also get outdoors a lot and am really into experiencing life hands-on. No TV for me. And the gym was never my holy temple either, so so I've always had some activity I loved to help me stay in shape and a side-interest in food & nutrition. Over the last 5 years, my vehicles have been cycling, freestyle swimming, and parkour. If you know any great rooftops, I'm all ears!
The first things people usually notice about me
That I speak my mind, even to the point of being unpredictable.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Honestly, who really chooses to pass up or message someone based on mutual favorites. To avoid making an endless essay out of this ill stick to my Current Favorites.

Book - Vagabonding by Rolf Potts
Movie - The Beach
Show - Through the Wormhole
Song - Going Down by Jake Chudnow (VSauce2 Soundtrack)
Food - Shark Fin Soup
The six things I could never do without
A book of Non-Fiction (I love adventure, but prefer any book that can teach me to experience real-life adventures)
Something new worth learning
A friend wiser than myself
A new culture to discover
A new food to taste
My passport
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How long will I be remembered after I die, and what can I do to extend that? I know, I know, its a male-ego thing, we men have this unrelenting urge to pee on everything, and I'm not ashamed of that. I want to live forever somehow, or at least make the most of life. To explore the ruins of Machu Pichu or Ankor Wat like my father before me. Or sailing the Spice Islands, and hope I don't get shipwrecked and have to make friends with a coconut for 4 years because I wasn't fortunate enough to have my own volleyball named Wilson. Or what does a 40ft leap into deep waters feel like? Or that a trip into space is only $200k through Virgin Galactic, ONLY $200k (too rich for my blood now, but I'm hell-bent on experiencing space before I kick the bucket!) This is the kind of stuff I think about.

I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–27
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I have my eye out for someone who can say "Forget what the rest of the rat-race is doing, lets go have an adventure." I'll go alone if I have too, but it's always great to have someone beside me. If we do meet, it'll probably be over a quick cup of coffee. If we don't quite connect, perhaps we'll make for good friends. If not, we go our separate ways with a smile, and the world just keeps on spinning.
