I graduated a year ago from Bennington College with a concentration
in Drama, Psychology and Religious Studies. I was recently accepted
to the divinity school of Columbia, but I'm not who you're thinking
of when you think of "seminary student". I am very open minded and
liberal and have a pretty damn good sense of humor. I believe
religion should be liberating and empowering, not restrictive and
guilt-mongering. Nobody has it right, we are all seeking truth and
goodness in our lives and different paths work for different
people. I love having conversations about what religion is and
could be in American society, and if you hate organized religion,
there's a good chance I might be able to change your mind about a
few things.
For now I'm deferring my acceptance to Columbia. I want to spend a
few years traveling and exploring before I settle down into the
school routine again.
I really want to meet someone who is reliable, very open and
loving, and who shares my off-beat sense of humor. I am ultimately
looking for a person with whom I can share all of myself, and have
no secrets: a best friend who knows me inside and out, including
all of my flaws, and loves me anyway.
I really love trees.
I collect antique books.
I'm going to do big things with my life.
