Update 04/11/09: Hi everyone. I haven't been on Cupid in forever but I seem to be getting a few mails and I really appreciate them but I have met a beautiful, wonderful young lady who I am absolutely in love with. I have a little girl on the way with this gorgeous person and plan on spending the rest of my life with her and my future daughter. I just got back from a vacation to Australia and I had a great time. I've been to a lot of places and foreign countries but I probably did more in Australia than I've done anywhere else. I spent some time in Canberra and I even climbed the Sydney Harbour Bay Bridge and saw the opera house and Sydney from a few hundred feet up in the air at night http://www.bridgeclimb.com/ I can't wait to go back. UPDATE: I'm REALLY ready to go back to Australia!

I am also with the Funeral Honors Detail for this area and I perform flag presenting ceremonies for deceased veterans. I've done a lot of them but I am always amazed how each one is unique and different. It's something you don't get used to. I've gotten really good at folding the flag.

I have a lot of interests but in the future, I would like to open a home for abandoned and neglected dogs. I have a big soft spot for dogs. I adopted my dog and realized the need for places they can stay and be cared for while waiting for a permanent home. I would love to take every dog not in a good environment and make them happy.

I'm an excellent driver. I even use my turn signal 95% of the time. And being faithful although I think that's a curse sometimes. I'm adept at obscure knowledge also. Do you know where the term "an upset victory" came from? The great racehorse Man of War won all of his races except one and the name of that horse was Upset (as in mad or angry) and after that if a win was really unexpected, it was called an "upset victory".

Waving at complete strangers driving down the road and acting like I know them. I love the looks on their faces as they try and figure out who it is. You would be amazed at how many people get excited that someone is waving at them.

I really don't know and I'm really not concerned with what people think about me.

Movies: The orginal Star Wars Trilogy (The Empire Strikes Back inparticular), Raiders of the Lost Ark, Gallipoli, Outland, The Road Warrior, Slingblade, Rainman, Force 10 from Navarone, Das Boot, Airplane!, Shawshank Redemption, Chronicles of Riddick, Serenity, American Beauty, Starship Troopers, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Raising Arizona, Cool Hand Luke, Bullitt, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, A Fish Called Wanda, The Crow, Bridge on the River Kwai, Seabiscuit, The English Patient, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou? The Last Starfighter wasn't neccesarily a great movie but I saw it during a good point in my life and it always brings back good memories so I love watching that movie. Even though it is a little hokie by today's standards.

TV: Mystery Science Theater 3000(cancelled but it was on 10 years so I can't complain), FarScape (cancelled), Earth:Above and Beyond (cancelled), 24, Battlestar Galactica, Sopranos, Family Guy, Futurama, Iron Chef, Mythbusters, American Chopper and COPS (a show that proves drugs make people stupid) Favorite show currently on is Hell's Kitchen

Music: Anything but rap. Techno, 80's, top 40, classical and a little country (Dwight Yocum, Junior Brown, Jo Dee Messina)I like Johnny Cash ever since I met him when I was a child and I don't consider him Country or Western. He was the original pop star (Ring of Fire is the greatest song ever written). Herb Alpert and Chuck Mangione are my favorite 70s music. Fluke, Orbital, Kylie Minogue and Dirty Vegas are my favorite newer stuff. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Johnny Cash, U2, KISS, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Motly Crue, Guns & Roses, Van Halen (David Lee Roth era) and Queen. I also like some older easy listening like Nat King Cole, Nancy Sinatra, some Barry Manilow and Perry Como. Favorite bands of all time: DEVO, Stone Temple Pilots and Filter. I guess Velvet Revolver is the best band around now since it's the Guns and Roses band with Scott, the Stone Temple Pilots frontman

Books: Rendezvous With Rama by Arthur C Clark is my favorite book of all time. I'm currently reading Legion of the Damned

Food: I've done quite a bit of traveling and eaten all kinds of foods but nothing beats a big steak cooked medium well and a big baked potato with butter and sour cream.

Why my dog runs away every time I brush my teeth.

And why can't anyone recognize that Clark Kent is really Superman. I mean his disguise is just a pair of glasses. If you were around someone who wore glasses everyday and one day they didn't show up with glasses, would you be like, "Hey. My name is so and so. What's yours? It's nice to meet you." It makes no sense. UPDATE: I see the new Superman movie is coming out so I have another point if I'm getting the previews right. Superman has been gone awhile, flying about to his homeworld. Clark Kent, I guess, has been gone as well. So Clark and Superman have been gone ALL this time and they show back up in Metropolis at the same time and the whole city, much less his inner circle STILL CAN'T PUT 2 AND 2 TOGETHER. Now that makes me even more incredulous about no one figuring out that Clark and Superman are the same people. Am I the only one who sees this plot hole? Maybe I think too much.

Does anyone here really care what I'm doing on a Friday night? I mean really. Am I supposed to say I'm partying like there's no tomorrow to try and impress the party people? Or am I supposed to say I'm at home reading philosophy to impress the smart people. Is every Friday night the same?
