My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Part dreamer, part realist, and altogether quite impossible to describe. Spontaneous, but not irresponsible. Small town guy with big city dreams hoping that someone will want to come along for the ride.

Please be genuine and honest. I'd always take a difficult, honest conversation over an easy, disingenuous one.

I'm about as random as it gets, and I like to think that I'm wayyyy more than I can describe here. So... Message me, and find out more!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently a logistics administrator trying to figure out what to do with an affinity for technology, English, and the stage. I don't exactly know how you turn that into a career, but exploring the possibilities sounds pretty fun!

Just started applying to grad schools, and I'm pretty jazzed about it. For the first time in a long time, I don't have a completely clear view as to what the destination is—and I'm shockingly all right with and excited by that.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Having a dry, sometimes hard-to-interpret sense of humour. I know it can be hard to get past sometimes, but I'll make it up to you. 👍

I always keep my word... And I make up for those instances when I can't. I'm painstakingly loyal.

I'm a pretty good cook! And I'm great at finding the absurd in whatever situation, and then laughing about it. Master of calculus and other number-type things.

(...ok, so maybe not that last one.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Most of the time, that I'm a really nice guy! ...With some really corny jokes that I hope are more endearing than off-putting.

A friend said to me: 'You're... English! Without the accent.' I guess people notice my English-ness... Whatever that means. I haven't quite figured it out yet, but I hope it's a good thing...?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
This is never gonna be a definitive list... Partly because I promise it will change often, and otherwise because I think getting to know a person's tastes and preferences is fun. But this might at least give you an idea.

I don't love TV, but on the rare occasion that it's turned on I'll probably be watching something like Sherlock. As far as literature is concerned, I have a soft spot for classics like To Kill a Mockingbird—but more recent favorites include A Single Man. I'll watch The Shawshank Redemption absolutely every time I come across it on TV. Trying to describe my taste in music is like trying to nail jello to a wall—I love so many artists, from Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra to Brand New, with maybe a side trip to almost anything out of the Motown era... there's a lot. When it comes to food, French and Italian are my favorites, but I'll try almost anything. One of the best meals I ever had was at a Burmese restaurant in San Francisco called 'Mandalay'... look it up if you're ever there.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-The awesome people in my life
-A decent kitchen knife
-A good pillow or ten
-The occasional quiet night at home

....and hot cocoa. Cocoa makes everything better.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Thinks that make people great. Things that make people intolerable. I spend a lot of time just wondering about how life works in general. Technology takes up a big chunk of my time... As does stage.

And for better or worse, I find that I'm just a sentimental fool, sometimes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
doing absolutely anything/everything. I could be having a party. Or seeing a show. Or I could be working on a show. Or I could be working, not on a show. Or out to dinner/a movie/wherever/whatever with friends.

Fridays are never typical!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I HATE peanut butter, unless it's paired with chocolate.

Here's another: I work for a large technology company, but if I write anything important, it always starts on a typewriter.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you want to tell me about something amazing you're doing to make the world a better place... and if you think there's anything I can do to help you get there.

Or if I look at your profile a few times without messaging you.

This doesn't have to end in a romantic relationship—I'm up for friends, too.
