My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I feel like I'm the consummate New Yorker. I stay far away from tourists and Times Square and I'm always trying to do things and see things that are off the beaten track. Sometimes I’ll bring my guitar with me to Central Park, and camp out for Shakespeare in the Park tickets or just spend a day wandering around the Met or if it's a Sunday night, I have a feeling I'll be at the Waystation with my friends (there might be karaoke involved...)

I'm an artist – a theatrical lighting designer – but while it's my passion and I got my MFA in it, it's not the singular thing that defines me. I love watching sports (Football - Packers/Giants) and I ski as often as I can get away with it during the winters, but I also enjoy video games and live music. I know that I'm lucky to have found what I want to do with my life, and I love doing it! I'm not someone who'd be happy sitting in a cubicle all day, and what I do is as far away from that as I can get, without being an extreme bungie-jumper or mixed-martial-artist/master-chef.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Taking sneaky photos of my friends on Instagram. Making up words, sometimes just by adding a '-y' to the end of existing words - Voila: New word! Wishing my made up words counted for something in Scrabble. Making brownies from the box at 3 in the morning...

I Can tell you who said almost any line from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (the TV show, not the movie!)

I absorb food science stuff (think anything Alton Brown said on Good Eats). I try not to overshare!

Getting almost anywhere in the Metropolitan Museum of Art without needing a map (my dad took me so often as a kid I basically lived there!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Everything from The Beatles & The Kinks to The Clash & The Strokes. Although I still haven't heard the first country song that I like (Update: I actually have now, tho I try not to admit it!)

Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Community (6 Seasons & A Movie!), The Soup, Guilty pleasure The Vampire Diaries, Parks & Rec, The Daily Show, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, The Good Wife, True Detective.

Governor's Island, my guitar; Indian food; NPR; Annie Hall; the B-side medley of Abbey Road; The Hungarian Pastry Shop; Stephen Sondheim; and The New York Times!

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Light. The number 42. The unladen flight speed of a swallow. Lazy Sundays.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I definitely don't have typical Fridays...

You're tired with all the typical guys on here and want to chat or hang out with someone who's going to challenge you, listen to you, and in the end have a really fun time.
