Day 2 in Maui: Have battle wounds on my knee from a tangle i got into with some coral. Our kayak tour guide did some investigating near by and identified a non-aggressive shark and a school of turtles but didnt recommend we check it out. One of the turtles was pissed about us being there and the guides are overly cautious!
Day 3 in Maui:
After a morning of visiting a pineapple plantation, i can't think of a better way to catch rays then on the beaches of the North Shore watching the expert surfers and wind surfers. Next to kayaking, that has been one of the best experiences I've had since i hit the island late Saturday night.
Day 4 in Maui:
Today was the Zip Line tour. If you have not done zip line before and are even remotely adventuresome, I highly recommend this activity. Here's a little tip: if the guide is supposed to catch your feet on the really long, fast last run, lift your feet just out of his reach and you will get an extra run!
Day 5 in Maui:
Today we surfed and it was a success. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are taking a second lesson tomorrow. It was a good day.
Tonight, we are at a Hawaiian luau. Very impressed and entertained.
Day 6 in Maui:
It was an absolutely glorious day on the water.
Our second day of surfing was highly successful. We went out further from the shore and caught bigger waves. I will definitely do another surf trip and probably to Hawaii.
Note:
The Princess Dinner Cruise was way over priced for what you got and they expected $11.00 for parking, $10.00 for fuel surcharge and another $20.00 for tip on top of an already $160 booking. I would not do this event again. Not worth the money. Matt and Sarah, our table mates were fantastic. They voted me the hippest mom they have ever met!
About me in general:
I like to stay active and fill my time with singing, hiking, roller skating, dancing. Believe it or not, there is still a group of adults in KC who entertain themselves by rolling around on wheels in circles; frontwards, backwards, sideways, on toes, on heels, etc.
After my trip to Maui in May, add surfing to the list of interests.
I am a technical business analyst by trade, but like to keep things interesting by never settling into any one role long enough to get bored. My current job is perfect as I tend to wear multiple hats: project manager, business analyst, software developer, technical analyst, business SME; as the need arises.
As for my potential partner, he should be self-confident, have high self-esteem, strong communication skills and a great sense of humor. He should value a solid relationship with me enough to participate in constructive, kindly delivered communication for the betterment of the relationship. He should be able to kindly deliver feedback as well so we can advance from an okay relationship to a fantastic one. I want a great relationship (best friendship really) and the right guy will too. He should possess a strong interest in music. Interest in working out, dancing and/or surfing would also be a plus. If you don't have these interests and we like one another, never fear. We'll see if we can find some others!
