My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Trans femme full of contradictions. I'm a hippie, a punk, a lady and a nerd. I am confident but very shy. I can appear cool, distant and aloof or kind, warm and loving, depending on the situation and who you are. I love nature and technology equally well. I'm a very rational person with a mystical bent. I'm serious and kidding, often at the same time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been spending all my life learning to be a complete human. Sometimes I think I'm almost there, sometimes my aim is so far away.

I work. I play. I party. I listen, talk, laugh (cry? Rarely.) I eat and drink (well!), and when I'm tired I relax. I strive to be good at many things and excellent in at least one thing.

The guiding principles of my life are respect, freedom and knowledge. I would like to add love to those, but somehow that has never worked for me.

When I grow up, I'm going to be a cyber witch. Or a techno-shaman, if you like.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Keeping my tongue firmly in the cheek, where it belongs.

Beyond that, I am a problem solver - whether the solution requires engineering skills, creativity or empathy, I'm good at finding it and I get my kicks in the process.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I suppose the first thing is my transness. I don't make it a secret, so it's pretty obvious - you don't even have to talk to me to notice it.

Next on the list (I hope) are kindness and humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm really into Science Fiction, Neal Stephenson and Iain M. Banks are probably my favorite authors. I also have loved Thomas Pynchon for decades and I'm currently enthusiastic about Siri Hustvedt and Jennifer Egan.

I love music that is intense and at least a little weird. Too many styles and bands to mention, but if I had to pick one band to take to a desert island, that would be Sonic Youth.

I don't watch TV and I rarely watch a movie. I'm more of a bookish person.

Food? Don't get me started! I love food, and I'll try anything. But if I had to pick just one style, it'd be East Asian cuisine (yes, I'm aware that that is a huge field).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Freedom
- Beauty
- Music
- Flowers
- A good bike
- Unit tests
- A cheerful but profound contempt for arbitrarily imposed rules
- Curiosity
- Good food
- Green tea
- Whisky
- One more pair of shoes. Just this one, I swear!

Hey, that's a lot of things I couldn't do without! Does that make me needy?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...the past, present and future of the universe in general and humanity in particular. Evolutionary biology, history, mythology, politics, science fiction and transhumanism are some of my favorite subjects. I'm totally psyched about living in a time where a significant step in the evolution of consciousness seems close!!!1!

I also think about my projects, real and imaginary. Building a table out of spare parts, writing software to visualize four-dimensional objects, or genetically manipulating trees so that they grow to be houses you can live in. Stuff like that.

Love and relationships are another favorite topics to think about. If I were as experience in practice as I am in theory I would be... well, let's just say, really experienced.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Avoiding the people who are out on a typical Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will deny it if asked, but I totally love being a smartass.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'm not going to tell you what you should do, okay? I'd rather tell you what I'm looking for:

- Cycling buddies
- People who are interested in writing a queer/feminist pulp SciFi series
- Going out to queer/lesbian activities in Berlin
- Emotional and/or physical closeness
- Love

If you can relate to any of that, by all means drop me a line! I appreciate it!
