I am eccentric, different, and individualistic.

My Self-Summary

I'm eclectic, ever-changing, and I love to learn. I have been studying just about anything I can get my hands on for years now, and I don't plan on stopping any time soon, despite not currently being in school. I do lots of research online, especially about things beyond normal understanding and experience. If it's esoteric, I'll either know about it, or would like to know, so feel free to bring it up.

I write, mostly short stories and essays, but also the occasional article and sometimes even poetry. I sketch and draw, my favorite media are graphite and pen-n-ink, but I'm getting more familiar with prismacolor markers. I love to read both literature and graphic novels, and I enjoy listening to and creating music, though honestly I haven't created much new in a while.

I just completed my Bachelor's degree in English (as in Literature), but I don't know at this point whether I'll wind up continuing to pursue my (not-so-well-paying) dream of being a writer and editor, or if I will simply go back to school and continue until I become a professor and stick with academia for the rest of my life. Really, I most desire to be involved in comic books and graphic novels. We'll see how that turns out.

What I’m doing with my life

Trying to figure out what to do with my bachelor's, trying to get some experience writing however I can (usually for school newspapers or random articles online, but right now, that means NaNoWriMo), trying to become a gothic model, trying to start an underground art scene, trying to create underground movies (think Troma here), trying to actually create my first real comic, and trying to understand the meaning of the awakened existence. However, not overtly trying to be deep, just telling the truth.

I’m really good at

°Judging circumstances and situations...

°Listening when others need it...

°Giving vague and oftentimes misunderstood advice that usually winds up being eerily appropriate and unerringly correct...

°Weaving words in a way that can always net the results I intend...

°Sensing things that others are usually blissfully unaware of...

°Being weird in a good way...

The first things people usually notice about me

The way I either dress or carry myself... however, oftentimes that leads to conclusions and assumptions (that as we all know are usually wrong).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

BOOKS: anything by Neil Gaiman or Harlan Ellison, however I've recently been interested in the importance of the vampire in folklore and modern fiction (however don't misunderstand, I don't really like vampire fiction at all), as well as such topics as non-Judeo-Christian spiritualities, and non-standard relationship models...

MOVIES: The Crow, Run Lola Run, Fight Club, Habit, Blood and Donuts, The Boondock Saints, and just about anything Tim Burton, Hayao Miyazaki, or involving werewolves, vampires, and such... yes, even the cheesy stuff...

MUSIC: just about anything from old country or blues to EBM/darkwave/gothic/industrial. My favourite group of all-time is the Smashing Pumpkins. I sincerely dislike most music that is derivative, repetitive, and entirely unoriginal, if not downright mind-numbingly trite and/or derogatory. As a result, most pop music (especially modern pop music) is off the list, but even I have my guilty pleasures on occasion.

FOODS: I love ramen. I'm totally a ramen connoisseur, having tried many of the packaged and cup brands (to the point that sometimes I can tell which package ramen is which just from taste alone), and loving the authentic ramen found at the local ramen restaurant. I also like such things as macaroni and cheese (and just about anything with cheese), varying preparations for potatoes, and other things I shouldn't eat, since I kinda have to stay away from carbohydrates, seeing as how I have diabetes and all...

The six things I could never do without

[Only six, jeez, how boring and uninvolved with life's loverly things do they think I am?? Oh well, here goes...]

1. reading

2. writing

3. learning

4. sensing

5. art

6. music

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Well, that varies, as my mind is always running. It could be anything from ancient deities and their role in current Western society, to how to get the fly into the household Venus Fly Trap without killing it or grabbing it... from what I want to put in my vodka, to what digital and traditional methods I want to employ in my most recent art piece... from the nature of gender roles and how to break them with as many participants as possible, to how ridicu-gawth I want to look today...

On a typical Friday night I am

maybe I'm in my house being intoxicated, maybe I'm at a local goth hangout being intoxicated. It really depends, and Friday doesn't really mean that much to me right this moment. Perhaps when I am regularly employed at a 9-5 M-F job again...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Let's see if I can think of something... um, I collect smiley faces, bats, and anything that represents my little black cat... I'm really into androgyny a helluva lot... since most of my activities involve my hands, I have wrist issues off and on... how's that?

You should message me if

-you match me 60%+
-you have prominent hipbones
-you have high cheekbones
-you have long hair (if you're a boy, it doesn't matter as much for girls)
-your ribs are available to the touch
-we can have an intelligent conversation that's not too nerdy (I try to keep that part of me hidden from the world, thank you [:p]).
