My self-summary Propose an edit

First of all, I'm electronically challenged. My kids dragged me, kicking and screaming, into the electronics era, and I'm still feeling my way around.
I have been a health care professional for --WOW--a long time. I think I have a pretty well developed sense of humor. Consistent with the medical profession, it can sometimes have a dark side. I think a large percentage of problems can be resolved through communication and humor.
I like people (in general), like most forms of music (except rap and hip hop), will read almost anything (except 'bodice rippers'), enjoy a spirited discussion, and love nature. I do a smattering of painting for my own fulfillment, love to play word games, and do some crafting, to name a few things. I like to fish --don't much care whether or not I catch anything, just enjoy it. I like to take walks, also. Do not like to camp or sleep outdoors.
The only real phobias I have are flying (but have done so when necessary), and spiders (the tiny ones no longer bother me, its the tarantula-sized ones that seem to live in my area that leave me a gibbering mess). Snakes, mice, etc. are kinda neat.
I consider myself a 'cat person', but like other animals as well.
It's a great big world out there. I think I'd prefer to journey through it with someone rather than by myself.

I'm really good at what I do. If its work, I'm good at being a nurse. With my kids, I'm good at parenting. In a relationship, I'm good at
making my partner feel good (we're talking both physically and mentally here).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

No clear book favorites, but ones I have enjoyed include: Kite Runner, Lord of the Rings, Water for Elephants. Science Fiction is good, as long as it is people oriented rather than technology oriented. Actually, I will read almost anything EXCEPT 'bodice rippers'.
Movies enjoyed are varied. Love comedies, thrillers (as long as they make you think). I gue4ss it just depends on my mood.
I enjoy all kinds of music, except rap and hip-hop. Um, since I am of Polish ancestry, that includes polkas. Really like country, as it reminds me a lot of 60's music.
Foods? I'm pretty much an omnivore, and will try almost anything. Do NOT like Spam.

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

Hot showers, mental stimulation, physical contact, love, friends, and family (in no particular order).
