I am creative, fun, and genuine.
My Self-Summary
I am a creative person who is ready to be in a long term
relationship and wanting to have fun while in the process of
meeting this person.
Being an art teacher, most of my free time is spent creating art. I
also really enjoy almost all outdoor activities, especially
hiking.
I don't want to write too much here -- I'd rather make the process
of getting to know someone more interesting!
What I’m doing with my life
I am a high school art teacher, currently taking a throwing
(ceramics) class, working towards becoming the best version of
myself and laughing at all of life's curve balls and little
humorous jokes. And baking. Lots of baking.
I’m really good at
Laughing. I do a pretty good job of entertaining myself and have a
generally jovial and optimistic attitude.
I'm also a bit of an overachiever, but mainly I'm good at
relationships -- being open, honest and supportive. Being able to
listen to others and offer empathy and in some cases advice. I
enjoy spending time with people and being that I work with high
school students, being good at building healthy relationships, a
sense of humor and a sense of purpose are must-haves.
I'm a pretty creative person, and I'm pretty good at figuring out
how to do things on my own, as well as coming up with ideas to make
life easier.
I love making art!
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and positive attitude.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'm a vegetarian, so my favorite foods are vegetables. MMMM veggie
sushi!
Books, oh, my, too many to list! I love The Giving Tree & most
anything by Dr. Suess. My favorite adult books include 1984, the
dictionary for reference (yeah, I know, total dork), art books,
educational books, and anything that makes me think. I also enjoy a
good novel from time to time.
Movie: All time favorite is the Princess Bride. New favorite: The
Fall. Amazing visuals and great story.
Music. I like chill music. I'm pretty eclectic and will listen to
many different kinds, but no metal, scream-o or anything too hard.
Not into music without a beat or good lyrics.
The six things I could never do without
1. Family & friends (I consider my pets family)
2. The ability to create and experience art
3. Nature
4. Books
5. My brains
6. Water (seriously, I drink it all of the time) and vegetarian
deliciousness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life. How to create a better world for myself and others, what is
most important to me, how to reach my goals and become a better
version of myself.
I also spend a lot of time thinking about art -- ideas of things I
could create, as well as how to better communicate artistic ideas
and experiences to my students.
Why the dog insists on eating kitty chocolate. I just don't get it.
It's gross.
On a typical Friday night I am
Tired from working and being busy all week and ready to relax. I
usually end up hanging out at home and making art. Currently I'm
working on making Christmas presents and sewing stockings and other
gifts.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am (perhaps not so secretly) into gay/bi male singers like George
Michael and Elton John.
For most of my life I've secretly wanted to be a dancer, especially
after seeing Dirty Dancing. Yes, I will admit that for most of my
childhood/teen years I wanted to BE Jennifer Gray.
You should message me if
You think that we'd have interesting or fun discourse. Or, if you'd
like to hear stories about crazy high school students who are out
of thier minds and want to know what it's REALLY like to be a
teacher...
Or, if you see potential for us hitting it off and becoming friends
or lovers. I can't type that with a straight face.
