I am quirky, fun, and sassy.
My Self-Summary
My favorite things to do are
swing dancing and singing. Whether
I am good at either of those things is up for debate. I enjoy
books,
music,
art, a cuppa tea and interesting
conversation. I like to think I'm pretty cool.
I'm great at contradicting myself. I believe that normal doesn't
exist. And even if it did, 'weird' is a lot more interesting, don't
you think?
I've recently gotten into
swimming again. I'm pretty stoked about
that.
What I’m doing with my life
Oh, this and that. Trying to stay focused in the present while
still planning for the future. It's harder than you might think. So
it keeps me busy. To break it up, though, I practice tricks with my
hula hoop.
I’m really good at
Laughing, putting my foot in my mouth. I used to be really good at
playing the piano. I stopped practicing for awhile, so I'm working
to get back to where I was.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I laugh a lot--and loudly. I love just hanging out,
laughing and having a good
time in general. I also have a monroe piercing that people probably
notice pretty quickly.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books--The Metamorphosis, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, anything by
Nick Hornby,
to name a few.
Movies--Silly romantic comedies, slasher flicks that are so bad
they're good, and genuinely good indie films like
Little Miss Sunshine
and (500) Days of Summer.
Music--I enjoy all kinds of music, but you'll most often find
alternative, indie or pop music in my car.
Lily Allen, Lady Gaga,
The Dandy
Warhols,
The
Killers, Scissor Sisters, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs,
Hanson, Belle and
Sebastian,
Ben
Folds Five, Ben Folds, and so many more.
TV--Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
Veronica Mars,
It's
Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, Dexter,
Chuck, Joan of Arcadia.
Food--I'm into trying new things, but also fall back on the
classics from time to time. I can never turn down Ian's pizza.
The six things I could never do without
Communication devices (phone/computer)
Friends
Laughter
Music
A good book
A way to get from point A to point B
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The past, present and future. Plans, goals, hopes and dreams. Ideas
for crafty-ness, and how I'll probably fail at creating them. Not
for a lack of trying, mind you. I think about the meaning of the
simple things. And now I'm thinking about that show the Simple
Life. And why it ever existed.
On a typical Friday night I am
Dancing, or just out and about.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I don't know about this one. Okay, I got suckered into reading
Twilight. And I loved it. And I read it again, of my own free will.
You should message me if
You're a generally awesome person. We'd get along great! :)
