My self-summary
I'm a Chicago native but been in the PNW for what feels like an eternity. I'm looking for someone to catch some shows with, make snarky comments about bad art, and feel like letting my gaze linger on you.

Seattle always has felt like being on lithium, everything is in homeostasis: not too cold not hot, people are friendly but not too much so, the politics are progressive but tempered by strong monied interests, etc. As a result I like people who have a little edge and remind me of my Big City roots.
What I’m doing with my life
I've resisted until now but the Cross Fit bug is about to bite as I put a renewed emphasis on my health. I've usually in pretty good shape however the last few months of experiencing all that the city's eateries has to offer has left more of me than I like.....thus begins Project Make Less of Me. I love food and enjoy cooking but am kinda focused on animal proteins right now so if you're intense about vegetarianism we are probably not a match.

I'm in a phase of where I've given in to my whims and desires and so spontaneity has been my guiding light recently. I have changed everything in my life in the last year and so all my doors are open.
I’m really good at
I'm sorta good at a lot of things (music, photography, cooking, languages, tech stuff, writing) but master of none. My friend calls me the "renaissance dude" and my marinara rocks.
I speak fluent Portuguese, a little Turkish and travel well.
The first things people usually notice about me
The bottom of my left ear is incredibly sexy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just read The River of Doubt about Roosevelt's journey down Amazon in the early 1900's. That guy was a bad ass.

I do enjoy an evening with quality shows and my list would include all today's usual suspects that one would hear around the water cooler or morning coffee line.

While recently watching Danny Trejo in "Machete" my pal announced "I feel like I should be stoned while eating a bowl of Doritos." God love Roger Ebert but that is the kind of cultural critique I'm looking for.

Recently and in no particular order:
Calexico, My Goodness, The Japandroids, The Grizzled Mighty, Don't Talk to Cops, The Billy Nayer Show, JZ, MF Doom, Danger Mouse, The Helio Sequence (damn that new album is awesome)On the T, Blind Pilot, Hudson Bell, The Hold Steady, Pickwick, Sufjan Stevens, All The Usual Suspects (not the band but all the classic music you might expect from David Byrne to Tom Waits to The Who)

I am known in sandwich circles where people point and speak in reverent tones.
The six things I could never do without
Disdain for Zooey Deschanel,
A drummer,
My doberman, Brian,
Comedians,
Proximity to water, and ummm...
Crackers
I spend a lot of time thinking about
New camera or a new guitar. 1st World problems people! Keep that shit in perspective.

If I had my way life would be one long Bollywood movie. It frustrates me to no end that several times a day there is no dancing flashmob that surrounds me and we launch into a fairly long up tempo number. In my head however that does happen quite a bit.
On a typical Friday night I am
Nothing consistent. Happy hour with friends, hiding from the world after a brain killing week or catching a local band or comic.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've maintained an open mind for long enough to have amassed a litany of experiences that will appeal to many a prurient interest
