Seattle always has felt like being on lithium, everything is in homeostasis: not too cold not hot, people are friendly but not too much so, the politics are progressive but tempered by strong monied interests, etc. As a result I like people who have a little edge and remind me of my Big City roots.

I'm in a phase of where I've given in to my whims and desires and so spontaneity has been my guiding light recently. I have changed everything in my life in the last year and so all my doors are open.

While recently watching Danny Trejo in "Machete" my pal announced "I feel like I should be stoned while eating a bowl of Doritos." God love Roger Ebert but that is the kind of cultural critique I'm looking for.
Recently and in no particular order:
Calexico, My Goodness, The Japandroids, The Grizzled Mighty, Don't Talk to Cops, The Billy Nayer Show, JZ, MF Doom, Danger Mouse, The Helio Sequence (damn that new album is awesome)On the T, Blind Pilot, Hudson Bell, The Hold Steady, Pickwick, Sufjan Stevens, All The Usual Suspects (not the band but all the classic music you might expect from David Byrne to Tom Waits to The Who)
I am known in sandwich circles where people point and speak in reverent tones.

My doberman, Brian,
Comedians,
Proximity to water, and ummm...
